man i love it. its a real car, that turns into a bot who looks very, very g1. thats all i wanted. apart from a guy standing next to his pet metal t-rex, and then gets the shock of his life when it transforms into a robot!

    "my t-rex! you, you, you're a robot!"
"me grimlock not robot! me king!"

    ok i'll stop now.

Which proves absolutely nothing. Any moron can type the letters "I", "L", "M", and a faker trying to convince people into believing this is the real thing might very well choose to include them, to try to make it look authentic.
I'm very sceptical. Things don't leak from ILM that easily, especially not whole film clips.

OMG! How dare they make that guy Spike!
    :D

Fantastic work that definitely seems to animate dramatically, and help us visualise working shots and size-ratio interaction.
Can't wait so some of the models when they are done. (Edit "to see", not "so", grammar is not my friend tonight either :(  )

You've got bad grammar confused with bad spelling.

    Nice.

How can it be fake? It took someone hours and hours to do that and a lot of money in equipment as well. I don't see how this could be fake.

I find G1 all the way to Cybertron to be rather cute and campy. ;)

Anyway; bloody awesomely terrific. Wether it is fake or not. Target 2007! Go TF movie!

I don't mind "skeptical", but I do mind spoilsport. These people are just afraid of being wrong in the end - they just want their share of "see? it was fake! *I TOLD YOU SO*" instead of joining in the enthusiasm. I don't know if it's okay or not, but I rather pee in my pants with excitement instead of holding it back just to stay skeptical. The footage is great, very inspiring.

And sometimes things *do* leak from ILM, like that screenplay page from Episode II where Jango Fett dies. Ask the proper forums, and you'll know it's true.

You obviously weren't around for the Star Wars Episode 3 Spoiler thread. I had people that were feeding me stuff from ILM on a regular basis, almost 2 years before the movie came out. ILM is not exactly known for their tight security.

I agree that it needs more weight (seemed a bit too "springy") but it was beautiful all the same.

It's an impressive piece of work in regards to how it depicts the transformation. The car doesn't leap up from the ground and the limbs move independantly of each other.
This goes some way to making it look belivable that this is an actual living being and not just a machine.

and most likely, like Hiro said, this is just ILMs bid to get the project, and not in any way shape or form meant to be final. It's just concept.
