btw, I'm going to Michael Bay's press conference today so I can ask about the whole Devastator/Brawl thing if i get a chance but it's gonna be a media frenzy. I hope Megan is there again!!!

For those of you who commented on the guy at the prem with the optimus helmet who had a picture with Megan - it was the only fan she had a photo with. I was standing right next to him when he had the photo and I asked the same thing -why didn't you take the helmet off!!!!!!

 

I can't believe a mistake this major could be left in a movie...kinda got me worried...Someone should be fired (they have script supervisors for this sort of thing) I ..and as far as SS having one line in english really erks me....

It really doesn't surprise me at all. In that one interview Bay said that only a couple of people actually know the names. It doesn't surprise me much but I'm sure it will be fixed before the actual release. This was still technically a "screening".

 

not sure how much distribution to cinemas would have taken place yet - during his intro last night Michael Bay said "the movie was only finished about 19 hours ago"...

Ok guys i'm not gonna give you a review just my thoughts on the event and answer a few of your burning questions... Ok so my friend and I got there at 5:45pm and things were well underway... we were on a mission to get tickets so we donned our transformer logo masks and basically felt a little ridiculous, but it was pretty fun and we got photographed a lot.

A few minor Aussie celebs started walking down the carpet and then Megan (Pronounced Megg-an not meegan according to her escort). She was pretty foxy (ha ha) in real life. Sideswipe2005 was standing next to me, and started calling out to her. She came over for a photo and as she posed for Sideswipe she accidently put her hand on mine! I'm never washing it again lol, joking, joking. Bay was cool, signing lots of autographs and talking with the crowd. He got a photo with me my friend and sideswipe. Bay said to me "where did you get those" pointing to the logo masks I'd made. Then the crowds started moving in to the cinema... at this point i was annoyed I put a bit of effort into the masks we wore and I still didn't have a ticket in. So we decided to sneak in  

We went along with the crowd, my friend snuck in with a group who had passes ... but i was stopped! So I wandered outside to the deserted red carpet and saw a little booth for the competition they were running... i asked the guy there if i could get a ticket in. He then picked up a box with about 20 of the remaining passes in! WooHoo!! Sooo easy. I rushed back to the line and met up with my buddy in the cinema... sooo excited. We waited for ages, transfomers the animated movie soundtrack going in the background and then bay finally got up to speak... said that he had finished the film 21 hours ago! and we were the second audience to see the completed movie in the world. Nice! Then bay and the 2 leading ladies walked up to the upper level of the cinema and sat down to watch. Bay was sitting in prime position right in the centre of the theatre. Then the movie started....

*There are transformation sounds over the dreamworks logo sequence
*There are G1 transformation sounds, but the sound is a bit richer and has other effects mixed in... sounds great to me.
*Some transformations are slow others a super quick (Especially screamer)
*i'm pretty sure i heard or read Brawl - but I can't really remember.
*Translation bits were cool to me...
*I't funny, it's fast, lotsa transformers, lotsa action, fans seemed to like it from what i overheard on my way out.
*oh yeah and someone brought a transformer toy in to watch the movie with lol

 

You just raped my eyes.

Well, you know, I read in the script how the Autobots learned English, but I was just wondering the other day just how the heck the Decepticons would do it, and just WHY they would in the first place since they aren't becoming buddy-buddy with the Earthlings.

 

i also went to the screening last night, was such an awesome experience.


just a few quick points
- decepticons mostly speak in cybertronian with "transforming subtitles".. starscream learned english back in the prequel novel ghosts of yesterday..
- brawls sub-title is refered to as devestator but he is brawl in the end credits
- megatron sounds awfully evil


all the transfomer action in the movie is awesome, i cant wait til it is released just to go see it again

The Decepticon's are more so the robots in disguise after awhile they would catch onto the native language.
