The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole. These are some of those stories. This is: It should be noted that while this project has been recognized by IDW Publishing and Hasbro, none of the works presented have been commissioned or solicited by either company. The stories are not official canon, except where noted. These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love. ...Why is Prima a girl? He's a multiversal singularity, so even if he looks different, he'd always be male.
what's causing the confusion here is the alternating between present and flashback.. makes it hard to tell when primon is alive or dead. the primon/prima/primus/primes thing doesn't help either! but still, quite curious to see who the purple armed narrator is. so for the confused: primus gives his essence to primon and sends primon to find the primes, primon finds a prime called prima they get it on primon is killed by something later on, prima is almost killed by presumably the same something the purple armed narrator finds primon's body and retrieves the essence of primus the purple armed narrator finds prima's body and uses the essence to rebuild her for an as yet unknown reason the purple armed narrator decides to make her into a weapon the rebuilt prima is very angrry and goes off to chop up the something into little pieces with a large axe the something is revealed to be a green blobby monster
see this is the problem with mosaics these days. remember back in the day when they were first coming out? years and years ago now? they were a single one shot page, giving an insight into a single starring character. now days they are all sorts of weird and wild lengthy tales in multiple parts, or based on any number of comic continuities and many folk probably don't fully understand the angle they're coming from if they've been collecting the comics or whatever type of media the focus has shifted to. many are just too complicated for their own good. all i see with this particular one is a couple of old comic book names, a blue n white bot who has a thing for a dead then cranky female optimus prime. and a lizard thing. bring it back to basics!
Fixed. Purple armed narrator = Alpha Trion Green blob monster = Liege Maximo Just my take on it. I might be wrong. Good idea, except for Prima being female. Explains the whole 'Primon having the Matrix before Prima' thing (altho, in this story, it's not the whole Matrix)
First the name prima is female in nature using spanish or latin for a base. Words ending in a are generally feminine in nature refering to a female as in amiga or amigo. Second the point of moasics going in different directions are the decisions of the creators ie creative license..
Maybe because Hasbro has stated that there is no gender in transformers. That all transformers are based on one of 13 base models (for lack of a better phrase), one of which has a form that we humans equate as similar to the female form. Which also explains why there are so few of this type in the TF population.
From a storytelling standpoint, this piece isn't as strong as many of the ones before it either. The lettering needs some work (some commas and spaces are needed), the layout doesn't flow the best, but that's due to the story and the figures, and the story itself is a bit confusing. I think this piece is trying to do too much. I like the visual style some, but it doesn't assist the reader in clarity. The plot is decent, but the actual telling of it needs some work as well.
