Starscream flew back to the warp location with Skywarp to wait for the other Decepticons to show up so they could go back to the Nemesis. Sure they had lost and he hated that, but Starscream couldn't help but feel a little happy at the fact that Megatron was captured. Of course as soon as they got back to the Nemesis the Decepticons would start coming up with plans to go rescue Megatron and he wasn't looking forward to that.

Bumblebee nodded at Ratchet before transforming back to vehicle mode and driving off to go meet up with Drift.

 

shockwave sat on the nemesis listening to decepticon commnications thanks to the expertise of soundwave he had heard of megatrons capture and planned to take full advantage of it, it was time for a new decepticon leader, one ruled by logic and knowledge not by brute force and strength, it was time for shockwave to take charge.

 

Skywarp jumped into the warp gate, and appeared back at the base. He waved at Sound wave and Shockwave, "Hey Sound, hey Shocky. I'm going to fix one of my null rays. It's acting up on me." Soundwave shook his head, "We must plan to rescue Lord Megatron first. Shouldn't we, Shockwave?"

 

Barricade drove right through the warp portal, following right behind Skywarp. Upon arriving on the Nemesis, he saw both Shockwave and Soundwave. He looked straight down at the floor panels, shaking his head.

"Tried to rescue Megatron... but we couldn't do a fragging thing..."

He then looked up, and was about to say something more, when Skywarp said something about fixing his null rays and Soundwave objecting, saying they needed to plan for Megatron's rescue. Barricade turned to Shockwave, hoping that he would have some sort of a plan to rescue their leader.

 

Starscream followed Barricade and Skywarp through the warp gate and arrived back at the Nemesis. Shockwave and Soundwave were there waiting for them. Barricade told them that they weren't able to rescue Megatron and then Skywarp said something about fixing one of his null rays, to which Soundwave said they should come up with a rescue plan first. Starscream really didn't care at all about coming up with a rescue plan, he could care less about rescuing Megatron, so he just stood there and waited to here whatever idea the rest of the Decepticons came up with.

 

"You got in Ratchet!" Jetfire replied. Then he spoke to Springer. "Hang on...the ride may be a little rough." Then, he sped into the atmosphere, his shuttle form's attributes coming in to play. Jetfire knew that with Prime captured, the humans could do anything they wanted to him. Therefore, it was imperative that he descend to Earth and help plan a rescue mission...

Air Raid heard Ratchet's command and he also flew back from the fight. This was not their day. Prime captured, Megatron captured, being forced to retreat all in one day?! That was just crazy!!!

Above San Diego, a craft flew around, observing the fighters retreating. "Hmmm. They are retreating... Bad mistake." Tai muttered as he flew his fighter back towards Area 51. This was becoming a problem. Perhaps it was time he revealed himself...in disguise...

 

About an hour later, the U.S.S. George Washington had been brought to port at the Naval base, and it's men debriefed. General Wheeler came out of a conference room after the debriefing and went into a special facility where Optimus and Megatron were essentially restrained to a wall. As they had been for the past hour, the two were arguing, Megatron moreso than Prime, although Prime was getting annoyed by this point.

"Why do you even fight for these fleshbags, Prime? Here you are, and here I am. It makes no difference. Good is never worth it!" Megatron shouted. Prime shook his head, "Whatever, Megatron."

 

Terra was relieved that the general was now off the ship. She took the opportunity to call a meeting in the mess hall of the carrier. The entire crew turned out, so it was a bit cramped. She swept her gaze over the crew and spoke in a loud but clear voice.

"All right, guys. Here's the deal. We've been ordered to try and help bring the Transformers to the US for attacks on our home nation's soil. But as you all know and witnessed, it wasn't just the good robots that did the destruction of the city. It was also their enemies. The US government has declared the country to be at war with them as a whole. What they don't get is that if the good guys are kept captive, then the enemy will have the opportunity to try and attack Earth as a whole. We need to prevent that at all costs. So we on this vessel are to try and help them in any way we can without giving that very fact away, especially to our superior officer." She swept her gaze over them again. "That means we can't reveal we're helping them out! So any questions?"

No one had any. Terra nodded. "Good. So we have our own mission: to try and help reveal the threat of the real enemy amongst the Transformer robots and to show that the world must be ready for an attack from that very threat. Now, let's do it!"

Cheers rang throughout the mess hall as she pumped her fist into the air, her crew following her example.

 

At the San Diego airport, a young man arrived in full military gear. He was Lieutenant Tai Ishiyano of the 7th Pacific Battalion at the Pearl Harbor base in Hawaii, or so his ID card said. He was really a member of the GSOU, coming in under the disguise of a military officer, which he was.

After an hour's ride to the naval base, Tai got out of the cab he had taken to the base and walked in, flashing his ID card. The guards let him through and he made his way to where another was stationed. "Could you tell me where General Wheeler is? I have just been transferred to this base and wish to speak with him." Tai explained.

shockwave looked from one decepticon to another not quite sure wat to do... after a long pause he sighed "well if were gonna save megatron we better get some help" there was major applause and cheering after this was said, mostly from the ever loyal barricade, shockwave continued "starscream i want you to report to earth find the decepticons mindwipe and skystaler they will be of great assistance. skywarp make contact with the bounty hunter lockdown he will be needed, also figure out were bludgeon is he went missing a while ago. counterpunch i want you to stay here and wait for the constructicons to arrive, inform me when they do." counter punch nodded stoicly, "and soundwave, barricade come with me, we have some friends to wake up..."

 

Barricade couldn't help but cheer and applaud at what Shockwave said. He was almost afraid that Shockwave would abandon Megatron and step in as the new Decepticon leader. He wasted no time in following Shockwave and Soundwave in order to "wake up some friends."

 

Clearly, in the humans... and even the autobots ignorance, they had forgotten all about the threat of the building, and the countless number of deaths caused if it should fall.
Devastator approached the buildings remaining foundation, took up his mace from its place underneath a pile of rubble, swung it above his head... and crashed it directly into the buildings final stand.

The building teetered back and forth slowly, before coming down right into a residential neighborhood.

Granted, the amount of lives lost would be fewer, because the fleshlings had time to evacuate to a certain degree, but nevertheless, the death toll would still be in the thousands.

Ratchet shook his head. "We need to rest, repair, and THINK, before we go back for Prime. He would've done the same thing for one of us. We aren't abandoning him. But we will not all get captured." They arrived at the makeshift base that Optimus, Springer, Jetfire, and Drift had made.

Sara woke up from a nap, and nudged Aaron really hard, pointing at the suddenly booming clearing with all of the robotic bodies walking around. "I think the guys got some help..." She got up and stretched and waved at Springer, "Hey, Springer, who're these guys?" Springer pointed at each one he named and said, "Ratchet, who's a medic, and our temp leader, Sideburn, Hot Rod, Tracks, and Air Raid." Sara looked around and said, "Where's Optimus? And Drift?" Ratchet spoke up from where he was sitting, repairing Springer. "Human child, Optimus was captured by the U.S. Army. We are currently thinking of ways to rescue them." Sara's mouth dropped slightly.

Drift saw Bumblebee coming, and whispered, "Over here." He was hiding in car mode across the road from the entrance to the naval base. "I've counted 10 tanks arriving, but 15 have left, so they shouldn't have as many tanks now. 10 would still hurt however."

Skywarp jumped back into the warp gate, transforming into jet mode, and began scanning and searching for Lockdown. "This could take quite some time." He sighed, and flew off towards the first place to check.

Soundwave followed Shockwave into a room, where 20 deactivated Decepticon generic soldiers stood. Soundwave turned to Shockwave, "Does not compute. Megatron said they were destroyed...."

 

"Yeah ten would still hurt," Bumblebee agreed as he drove over to Drift. "At least they got rid of some of them though. If we're lucky maybe the number of tanks will drop a little more. I doubt it will get much lower though. The humans aren't going to leave this place unguarded."

Starscream went through the warp gate again and arrived back on Earth. He transformed into jet mode and started looking for Mindwipe and Skystalker, which was the task that Shockwave had given him. As soon as he picked them up on his scans he started to fly to their location.

 

Barricade saw the 20 deactivated Decepticons, and then looked at Shockwave. He was about to say something, when Soundwave stated that Megatron said they were "destroyed."

Shocked, Barricade shouted, "Destroyed?! Shockwave, you said we're to wake some 'friends' up, and they turn out to be 20 Decepticons that were supposedly destroyed, laying deactivated right here on the Nemesis?!"

 

Terra stepped out of the bridge onto the walkway and leaned against the railing. She studied the destruction of the city, her brown eyes narrowed in anger. The naval base was now on high alert, and that meant that no ships or planes or land-based vehicles could leave for a few days.

At least it could give her crew enough time to replenish the ship's SAMs.

Off in the distance, she could see that menacing shape of the large robot launching an assault on the city's remaining buildings. Half of the city was in ruins, and smoke from several major fires covered the clear blue sky. She could hear sirens wailing and people screaming as the metallic monstrosity destroyed their homes and businesses. The streets were cracked and cars were ablaze and flipped over. The tang of gasoline filled the air and she coughed slightly. Cracked windows were revealed in the naval base and a few buildings were still standing close by.

Terra gritted her teeth and looked down, her hands gripping the railing hard enough to turn her knuckles white.

If only there was some way to help those good robots out!

 

shockwave chuckle at the neivety of his comarades, "yes it is true there sparks were destroyed, but not there bodies, notice how these are all protoform bodies, we can reformat them my friends.." barricade began to raise an objection but shockwave stopped him "and as for the sparks you may remember i have many sparks in storage right on the very ship, no one special but in the field of battle i collected the spark of our fallen comrades and stored them away, and now we can insert them in to these protoforms and create....life" during this shockwave had been fidling with a body, and when he said life the con's optics lit up and it said.

"shockwave...you saved me..."

 

Barricade couldn't believe what Shockwave was saying. He has many sparks in storage, sparks which he could use to put into these protoform bodies and therefore reformat them. The idea was insane and rather revolting, but... if it would mean they would have enough Decepticons on hand to help free Megatron from the humans, then what choice did they had left?

"I just hope you know what you're doing, Shockwave." he said.
