This is sort of a Miscellaneous speculation and wishlist thread. This is where you can place your biggest wishes for toys and fictional content as well as speculation about possible toys/fictional content.

I will start with some of my previous posts on other threads. I didn't get much in the way of feedback about it so I am making a new thread just for feedback on peoples' wishes/speculations. The posts are mainly from "Kind of a dumb idea, but it would be cool if they made...". Note: I am not a good writer, there are a lot of typos. This post was one of my favorite posts, because it both shows how I became a Transformer fan, some of the inner machinations of my mind, and how I make my posts. The "Sorry this is a bit long." part was quoting the rest of the post. It was an after thought which was merged into the main post.

Here is a quote that originally was trying to start a new thread about which cancelled toys/concepts you would like to see. The first time, it was merged into "Kind of a dumb idea, but it would be cool if they made...", which was why I tried to make it a new thread so it wasn't lost, and the second time, the thread was closed after only 1 other post besides mine.

This next post quotes "Firstly, some repaint/Generations Selects ideas.
Generations Selects Bumper: An Earthrise Cliffjumper repaint (Bumblejumper it)
Earthrise Blaster: Remold of Siege Soundwave; Opens up path to Autobot Mini-Cassettes". This comment is just to provide some context. These images I just copied and pasted from the Transformers Wiki

    "

I am adding quotation marks around them so you can quote them easier.

I don't understand the desire for "truly" G1-accurate versions of the Scramble City combiners. That's not the point of the CHUG toylines. They're supposed to be updates, not 1:1 reproductions. It's extremely unnecessary.

Hey. I will give you 2 toylines. Siege and Earthrise. CHUG-scaled and G1 Accurate. Anyways, how do you think of my idea for the GoBots or the Transformers X Super Sentai Crossover? With BandaiNamco working with Hasbro for Power Rangers now, TakaraTomy and BandaiNamco both have business deals with Hasbro. Hasbro could allow for a business deal with those two and a revamp of GoBots. Think about the tips TakaraTomy could give BandaiNamco and vice versa.

How did you guys think of my many ideas of Earthrise Slammer? And my ideas for "Generations Selects" repaints? We really need some more Decepticon Titans and a Metroplex repaint as Metrotitan is perfect. Decepticon Weaponizers/Modulators are less numerous than their Autobot Counterparts. The Autobots have Six-Gun, Cog, the Powerdashers (Cromar, Zetar, Aragon), and Ironworks. The Decepticons have Brunt, Airwave and Fasttrack. A difference of 3 Transformers. So adding one Autobot so we can add 2 Decepticons to lower the difference to 2 Transformers is much better. Anyways, Fortress Maximus has Cog, Trypticon has Brunt and Full-Tilt (technically Wipe-Out as well as the "Necro" Titan Master), Scorponok will get Fasttrack, yet Metroplex only has Scamper and Six-Gun. Where is Slammer. Heck, they could redo Grand Maximus in the "Generations Selects" with a Siege Cog repaint and the missing Pretender shell/decoy armor. And that just returned the difference of Autobot Weaponizers/Modulators to their Decepticon Counterparts to 3 again. Frag. Anyways, this is just my explanation. Thanks

And most of them are new characters with updated, not 1:1 designs and older characters in stylized Cybertronian alternate modes. The others like Trailbreaker and Hoist are new figures since the last CHUG figures are almost seven years old at this point.

We just got Combiners. We have no reason to do them again, especially as anally specific to G1 as you're complaining about.

I hate crossovers so I think it's unnecessary and silly.

You two don't understand this a wishlist as well. They may not come to fruition but Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Thanks man, you are correct. This is a miscellaneous wish list/speculation thread, everyone. It is specifically made so that people can made a wish list of toys they want to see (not limited by toyline), speculate on toys that could appear from the minds of TakaraTomy and Hasbro (again, not limited by toyline), and do the same things about fictional content (the comics, cartoons, and movies). It isn't just what could appear, but it is also about what we want to appear. It allows for people to make a wishlist, get feedback on it, and to see how many people have the same ideas. As Mr. Krabs says. "We shall never deny a guest, even the most ridiculous request,"

How likely is it that they would reissue toys that have fallen victim to the dreaded Gold Plastic Syndrome with superior metallic and brown plastics? How likely is it that they would reissue toys from Beast Wars, RID 2001, the Unicron Trilogy, the Aligned Continuity (Fall of Cybertron, Prime, RID 2015, Rescue Bots), and/or the older movie toys? How likely is it that not only reissues of "G1" GoBots toys, but new toys that edit the originals, Masterpiece-scale and quality figures, and repaints/remolds of the Transformers toys as similar to them and vice versa? How likely is is that they release either cancelled toys, use cancelled concepts, and/or release cancelled toys? All of those are not very likely to occur but it is wishful thinking.

Look at this website. Transformers Generations Deluxe Book | Transformers At The Moon - www.transformertoys.co.uk
This website shows the Transformers Generations Deluxe book scanned digitally. It has a lot of cancelled concepts/toys, not the least of which is that 15-Micromaster combiner, a Dinosaur Scramble-City combiner, the rest of the Action Master Combiners (besides Devastator) and so much more from G1, G2 and Beast Wars. Look and see how many cancelled concepts you want revisited.

Meanwhile, go here (Gold Plastic Syndrome - Transformers Wiki) to see how many Transformers have fallen victim to Gold Plastic Syndrome, how many combiners have been left limbless, how many Transformers have shattered like they had been hit by Movie Sentinel Prime's Cosmic Rust Cannon.
    • Bristleback and Slog (both Monster Pretenders, parts of Monstructor) have it
    • G2 First Aid (A highly expensive, limited edition, mostly unreleased figure)
    • G2 Slingshot
    • Star Wars Han Solo and Chewbacca
    • Unite Warriors Motormaster
    • Revenge of the Fallen Stratosphere
    • BlackZarak
    • G1-G2 Thunderclash
    • Beast Wars Randy (Toy made of the Stuff+Springloaded Transformation=Self-Destruct Button)
Hopefully you realize the purpose of this tread.

Honestly, a lot of this belongs in the Collaborations x Crossover thread, which was started with Ectotron and got lost on here somewhere.

I don't think there IS a Bandai relationship with Power Rangers. Hasbro is the sole owner of Power Rangers now, not just a licensee but IP owner. Toei owns Super Sentai but that only affects Japanese sales. Takara has likewise made Transformers that were outside Hasbro's American rights.

Honestly I kinda wanna see a Bruticus with Vortex as the torso, or any combiner with a chopper torso. I think it’d look real nice.

Another part of my wishlist is toy-less Transformers. Transformers like G1 Fastback, who does NOT have a toy, and Bumper, who has not had a toy since he was "Bumblejumper", the accidental release of the G1 Cliffjumper mold in Yellow.

Bandai creates the toys of Tokutsatsu (Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai.) They were also the creators of Machine Robo, the toys which became the GoBots. Tonka bought the rights to release the toys in America as the GoBots. They lost that conflict and were later absorbed by Hasbro. Toei and BandaiNamco are the creators of Tokutsatsu fiction and toys, respectively. Toei and BandaiNamco gave the rights to adapt Super Sentai to Saban Entertainment (who also adapted Maple Town, and the first 3 Digimon Series) who adapted it from 1993 to 2002 when Saban Entertainment was bought by Disney. Disney adapted it from 2002-2010. It was then reacquired by Saban Brands, who adapted it from 2010 to 2018, Hasbro now is adapting it from 2018 to the present.

    Source (Power Rangers - Wikipedia)

Fun fact: Toei and Marvel, with Stan Lee, when they were working together and exchanging ideas for a 3 year deal, from 1979-1981, Toei and Marvel created 3 series, Toei created a Japanese live-action Spider Man series and they created 3 series, Battle Fever J, Denziman and Sun Vulcan. Battle Fever J was the 3rd Series of Super Sentai EVER. The only reason why they broke the deal is due to no one wanting to broadcast the Marvel adaptation of the Sun Vulcan Series, even though both Marvel and Stan Lee himself were wanting it to work. That is another connection. Toei and Hasbro both working with Marvel to make their series work. In fact, G.I. Joe was the next series Marvel helped with. Marvel helped Super Sentai and Transformers.

Does anyone have any Transformers they wish had a toy, Transformers toys they wish were re-released and/or improved, or cancelled toys/concepts you want revisited?

I have some more franchises that I wish could crossover with Transformers

    • He-Man (Can anyone else hear singing with that name?)
    • Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats, Hoooooh
    • Back to The Future
    • Robocop
    • Indiana Jones
    • Rambo (GI Joe needs to also appear with him)
And (what would be the biggest and most possible matchup)
    • GoBots
I know that none of these matchups are very likely. But if Terminator, Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Ghostbusters, Marvel, Angry Birds and, heck, even My Little Pony can all crossover with the Transformers, nothings off the table.

Think about it. The DeLorean Time Machine as a Transformer working with Optimus Prime and Marty McFly to stop the Decepticons from changing history. The Autobots working with Alex Murphy to capture Decepticon criminals. Indiana Jones teaming up with the Autobots to get some Cybertronian artifacts back from the Decepticons

And what I mean by a Transformers X GoBots is that the GoBots in their true form interacting with the Transformers.
These may not happen but oh well.

Interesting ideas. To the earlier posters, some people like the G1 toys and have fond memories of them. It's also nice to pick up toys you wanted but didn't have as a kid. The G1 reissues circa 2002 got me back into collecting.

I have most of what I want at this stage but I've been lucky and other fans would like the chance to get them too. If you don't like that, fair enough but don't dismiss other people who do.

What I'd like from G1 reissues are unexpected but fitting repaints as other well known Transformers characters like Guido Guidi's fan art of Barricade from G1 Prowl or Drift from Springer. I'd love toy versions of those along with a few others listed below:

    Boss as Getaway.
    Tracks or Tailspin as Backstreet.
    Jetfire as Hooligan.
Sideswipe as Armada Wheeljack or Stunticon Breakdown.
    Snapdragon as Overlord.
Rotorstorm as the Energonhelicopters from Bruticus Maximus.
    Triggerhappy as Needlenose or Tailspin.
    Freewheeler as Sizzle.
    Hound as Botcon Scorch.
    Scorch as Trailbreaker.
    Pointblank as G2 Windbreaker.
    Crosshairs as Ironhide.
    Grimlock as Overkill.
    Sunstreaker as Alternator Dead End.
    Prowl as Botcon Streetstar.
    Bluestreak as Rapido.
    Springer as Gripper.
    Blazemaster as Cybertron Evac.

Years ago, I picked up the very rare Korean oversized ko of the G1 Combaticons and I loved the larger size for them. As a kid, I thought the Combiner members were too small.

I've often wished there had been an oversized ko of G1 Menasor. The Fansproject Stunticons looked the part but Motormaster is a pain to transform.

G1 Dead End was a great looking toy in both modes and was cheated in the cartoon with an ugly animation model. G1 Menasor looked a lot cooler and sturdier than the CW version.

I'd love some upscaled versions of certain G1 toys such as the Combiners, Metroplex and the Decepticon Triple Changers. My entire collection is based on the Diaclone vehicle scale I've gotten a few oversized knockoffs like the Combaticons and Blitzwing but I'd prefer if they were of the same quality as the G1 toys.

Here's a few examples from my collection...

Here are some great ideas for Generations Selects figures.
    • Generations Selects Omega Sentinel: Redeco of Siege Omega Supreme with Micromaster Skystalker, homaging the G1 Toy Interstellar Shuttle aka the Thunder Arrow similar to Omega Supreme and Countdown homaging the G1 Toy Rocket Base; Same Color Scheme
    • Generations Selects Bumper: Redeco of Earthrise Cliffjumper in yellow like "Bumblejumper"
    • Generations Selects Runabout: Obvious Redeco of Earthrise Runamuck
    • Generations Selects
You remember my post previously about how they could make Earthrise Slammer. If they were to make that, and if Hasbro were to make Omega Sentinel, they would have a Skystalker mold. This would allow for the final figure in my ideas
    • Generations Selects Metrosquad: Generations Selects Metrotitan (redeco of Thrilling 30s Metroplex), Generations Selects Metroshot (redeco of Siege Six-Gun), Generations Selects Metrobomb (redeco of that Generations Select Skystalker), Generations Selects Metrodash (redeco of Thrilling 30s Scamper) and Generations Selects Metrotank (Redeco of the Earthrise Slammer).
Yes, I know. Generations Selects repaint of a Generations Selects figure. Just want to keep the homage making a-going.

    Now some NEW Molds.
    • Earthrise Hot Rod/Rodimus: Remold the Power of the Primes figure
    • Earthrise Hot Shot: Make it closer to the Original look
    • Earthrise Bumblebee: Major remold of Earthrise Cliffjumper. Same engineering and Transformation, different shell components
    • WFC Trilogy Pretenders: Might be impossible to make it very posable but I have some ideas
I'll place the ideas here on how they could make a posable Pretender Shell.
    1. Use 2 soft ratchet joints on the knees and 2 on the elbows
    2. To attach the hands to the upper arms and the feet to the bottom of the thigh near the knee
    3. Ball joint the feet and hands
    4. Series of swivels on the head for rotation and looking up
    5. Use 2 soft ratchets for the outward movement at the hip and the shoulders and swivels for the forward and back
    6. Thigh swivels allowed by foot rotation of inner robot
    7. Upper arm swivels allowed by the rotation of the hands
    8. The figure can collapse its legs to half the distance so the feet can connect
    How to insert the robots
    1. Collapse the Legs on the Transformer
    2. Open up panels on the upper arms, the torso, and the thighs (The open upper arms and thighs are for visibility for the insertion into the Shell)
    3. Attach the hands of the Transformer into the Pretender shell's upper arms and the feet into the bottom of the thigh
    4. Peg the back of the Transformer into the back of the shell
    5. Close up the shell
Don't even need to take the shell apart
I got inspiration from one source: Kamen Rider Ex-Aid's Level Up Rider Series Maximum Gamer.

    How are these ideas?

as the resident Combiner lover, god no.
Combiner Wars figures had enough going on for them to keep the scramble city gimmick, they don't need based modes because it was a lame gimmick that was added to the 80's toys for extra play value.
Anyway, the CW Figures were going for IDW comic accuracy, which took the original G1 designs and made faithful modernized versions of the characters we all know and love, I don't see any issue with having the official combiners styled after the IDW designs anyway because all the 3P combiners are either very loyal to G1 or they're just an original take on the desings.

Note: Sorry in advance for this sounding like severe criticism. I normally don't do this much in the way of criticism so I will be very brutally honest. I am containing a lot of anger from every time I didn't melt down. My meltdowns were nuclear (pun totally intended) with throwing chairs, toppling desks, and they were so bad that the room had to be cleared out in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Teasing, not getting my way, overloaded from loud noises, you name it. I have Asperger's Syndrome, am on the Autism Spectrum. and have ADHD. Now I am just bottling up the anger and stress and I am a senior in HIGH SCHOOL. So bear with me if I sound rude.
The Base Mode thing was just a bit of a joke. A bonus that if they do get them, cool. Hey if Sky Lynx, Doubledealer, and A ****ing Quintesson Judge are getting "base modes" even though they didn't originally (clearly not with the Quintesson Judge), certainly they could figure something out with the Transformers who actually had base modes. With the improvements in toy manufacturing, maybe they could get the original G1 Transformers faithfully rebuilt in their original alternate modes and improved.
As for the originals, I noticed that Combiner Wars Motormaster definitely was NOT original G1 Accurate. This is wishful thinking on my part that the G1 Combiners get original G1 accurate builds.
Here are some of my gripes
    • Adding extra members (Superion with Alpha Bravo and Powerglide, Menasor with Offroad and Blackjack, Defensor with Rook, Medix, and Ratchet, Bruticus was safe
    • Changing up the designs. I know it is supposed to be based on their IDW designs but seriously. Motormaster is trailerless; Both Blades and Vortex were very minor remolds of Alpha Bravo; The first CW Blast Off, why a jet?; Fireflight is an F-4 Phantom II, not a Harrier Jump Jet (could have been another F-Something Jet); Air Raid is an F-15 Eagle, not an F-14 Tomcat; Onslaught is now an over-glorified Hot Spot Remold; Breakdown should be a Lamborghini Countash like Sideswipe; Dead End is a Porsche 928, not a Ferrari 458 Italia; on and on and on.)
    • "Hand-Foot-Guns": Really?! Couldn't they just re-release them with Power of the Primes Style Hands and Feet?
I just want the option that if you want the IDW designs, you can have them and if you want the G1 Cartoon designs, you can have them. It allows for options. As Emgo316 says, "and as always, options...are good." And hey, if they get G1 Cartoon accurate designs, a repaint into their respective "camouflage paint" counterparts (Motormaster as Optimus Prime, Drag Strip as Mirage, Dead End as Jazz, Breakdown as Sideswipe, and Wildrider as Windcharger) is a hop, skip and a jump away.

I am sort of being like Prime Noble in these regards.
More repaints they could do is making Transformers from franchises other than G1. Imagine that Bumblebee remold I was talking about as Animated Wasp.
Man I have WAY too many ideas.

Now here is an idea: Making an actual cartoon for the BotBots. We need to see their antics in a cartoon. How about it be an online cartoon like on the Hasbro Website?

Hey umm, Transformers Fans? Are you there? If you are, which characters do YOU want in a toy form? Whether they be a Transformer who had a toy in the Prime Wars Trilogy (Combiner Wars, Titans Returns, Power of the Primes) or Thrilling 30's or a Transformer who hasn't had a toy since G1? No wish is too weird.

If we're talking about wishful thinking it'd be to see Gigastorm be made from TR Trypticon along with Takara's updated Seacons into God Neptune from me.

I have something so absurd it just might work. The Tech Specometer Eleven given one more mode besides "blaster" and "tablet" with all the same gizmos and gadgets. Give it a robot mode. Now THAT is totally crazy yet cool.
For those who don't know, it had an altimeter, compass, flashlight, magnifying glass, tape measure, sundial, telescope/periscope, reflector, whistle, and even a manual counter (straight from the Wiki). It was released in 1985. It is a survival multi-tool in a Transformer. Heck, re-releasing the toy could be cool too.

I was making the first paragraph of this post when I saw kaijuguy19 post this.
I look it up and yeah, that is cool. It is nearly a must. They can rerelease the original with a new "Gigatread" (Gigatank is taken by Giga from Overlord) which is either a Brunt repaint OR a Slammer Repaint. Gigatread will look like Megastorm, his preform. Then they can release the remold of TR Trypticon and Full Tilt, while Gigatread can be a minor remold of either Siege Brunt or my Earthrise Slammer idea.

As I feel, no wish is a dumb wish.

Don't let your anger get the better of you. You're better than that. It's not easy on here because so many members have strong opinions and are quick to condemn anyone who differs from it.

The trouble is fan is derived from fanatic. A lot of collectors are obsessive. My transformer collecting was the first sign I had Aspergers. I've also been diagnosed with ADHD like yourself and the doctor that diagnosed me reckons most collectors are on the spectrum.

I was actually very quiet in school and Aspergers or ADHD weren't commonly known when I was your age. I only got diagnosed the week of my 40th birthday.

Reflecting on my life, it explained a lot. What I didn't, and most people don't know, is that the main problem with Aspergers is anxiety which makes us moody and susceptible to phobias.

We're mostly strangers here and none of us know what everyone else is going through in their actual lives so it's best not to take things personally. Someday I hope I take my own advice.

We're all individuals and not going to agree on everything but this franchise is big and diverse enough for us all. We all have one thing in common, our mutual love of Transformers.

Anyway, sorry for the long winded post, but when you said you had ADHD and Aspergers, I saw my reflection.

Two things off the top of my head:

1). New Ironhide/Ratchet wherein a portion of the alt mode becomes a tracked battlesled, and
2). Combiners that don’t suck as combiners. The CW style combiners are floppy as fuck and loose and barely hold a pose worth a shit. Hell, the legs spread apart on their own most of the time just standing there on a smooth surface. Stronger ratchets are needed all around...the torso bots especially need stronger hip ratchets...real ratchets...not some flimsy piece of bendy plastic that grinds to dust after a few uses.

I conquer except in the case of Menasor, not because he's "not geewun enough" but the fact it is a bad toy.

For everyone who are saying how bad Combiner Wars Menasor is, how much do you want a redo of that whole set? Even if they aren't G1 cartoon accurate, would a better design of the mold we have for the Combiner Wars/IDW Stunticons make you happy? If it would, maybe someone in the Transformers Fan Community should make a change.org petition for a better version of Combiner Wars Menasor with stronger ratchets with more clicks of posability in the hips of Menasor, better connections for Blackjack as the chestplate, better connections for the arms at the shoulders, actual ankles, and better hip articulation. Fixing all the problems at the sources, then releasing the redecos of the improved mold. Is that all you want?

Wow, so most of the Combiner Wars Combiners are clustertrucks? So if they took the CW molds and revamped them, fixing all of the problems, would that make almost all of you happy?

That's probably the only one I would slightly agree to have a redo done of, but I'm not holding my breath or pleading for it. I think most of the CW combiners are perfectly fine and am satisfied with them.
