    Not Hasui..

There's more shots of the car, with the hood and trunk open.
There's also a shot of the back of the robot mode, and the robot mode in a shooting pose, down on one knee.

Car mode looks great. The only way to make up for all those filthy robot greebles is to include the scooter.

Can you tell what the interior looks like? Steering wheel, seats? I don't see much room for such things, but even XTB managed to include them. I like this Skids, but I have to admit to some disappointment if they ditched the interior, particularly since he has opening doors anyway.

I did mention it earlier in the thread but it's been going fast so the post kinda got lost in there.

No interior, however the doors do open. The hood opens to show the engine, very similar to Tracks. The trunk opens and has a big empty space, similar to the G1 toy. There is definitely room for the fold-up scooter, and I imagine it would be included as the figure is being released to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the figure.

I'm not looking at this as a WTF or a change in direction, this is just a collaboration with Honda as the 40th anniversary is getting more press than there being and actual MP Skids or Diaclone. It was a post on twitter, dont know how correct the google translate was, that Honda really frown upon stuff happening to their car which would sort of explain a less complicated and less articulate skids if Honda is really strict about what transforms.

Because of that one case, Honda cars are often not recorded or the appearance is not messed up in domestic games, and Honda cars are not allowed to deform toys. NFS is led by a US Honda license, so I can't help it I was surprised that the official account of Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced MP skids this time.

Gotcha. TT calls it hybrid, which I think covers it quite well.

This was one of my favorite Transformers as a kid.  To this day, when it comes to Skids, I have a reissue of the orignal, I have original comic art, and I have the Thrilling 30 version of this Transformer.

However, as much as I like this MP, I don\'t know if I can justify the prices that they want for these things anymore, especially when I see the designs coming out of the Studio Series releases at a fraction of the cost.

Looks great if you want something that looks nothing like their current designs for the past decade, so I'll pass

And see, that's the part that doesn't make sense to me. If they're marketing this to Honda City enthusiasts, which they seem to be doing with Honda getting in on the promotion of it, those people aren't going to care if it turns into a robot. They'll care about two things: the scooter and a figure to ride it. And if there's a figure to ride it, why not also make the figure drive the car. I really, really don't see model car fans paying ~$100 for a car that doesn't have an interior, especially since the doors open. And it suggests to me that Honda doesn't care as much about this toy as people think, because I would have bet a realistic interior would have been high on their list of requirements.

I am digging it so far. I like the toon/toy hybrid look. I just hope the QC is good on this one. The QC for Hound was terrible. Has-Tak should include the scooter and have it transform into an additional gun.

Savant wins best vehicle mode. Nice looking paint apps too. I wonder if Has-Tak will go with flat colors for the toon look, or gloss colors for the toy look. Which color scheme would you prefer?

Honda is the first car company that is actually promoting a Masterpiece Transformers toys through their own social media channels, so that definitely sets them apart.

A detailed interior would be great but I'm not surprised Skids doesn't have it.

We'll have to wait and see what kind of accessories this guy will come with.

I’m curious about the engineering. But I do agree that this seems to be a one-off. I’ll wait for more pictures.

im surprised about this since Skids hardly appeared in the g1 cartoon series. If anything I would have expected a Jazz MP
