Disappointing they used mp-12 as a standard. Find it hard to believe when they lined mp-12 up next to Sunstreaker, they thought "thatta do".

You know what? I think that if you can rotate the wheel part, you can also aim for a toon accurate shoulder

Edit: Ok, seems that we totally can. The shouder joint is a the bottom part of the arms, so we can "lower" the arm attachment on the "ribs", like the toon.

And who has bought both bot (pun not wanted), can have a different look with the same mold.

 

I can try that when I get both Skids’s’ in, but I’m going to put him on blocks because Raoul has to pay for more breakdancing lessons.

 

Need to go and watch the episodes again that Skids featured in, to figure out how his double barreled gun is mounted on his left arm in the cartoon; on top of his arm or on the side of it? Memory says on the side of his arm, but TT keeps positioning it on top of his arm in most of the photos, so I've started doubting my memory.

I preordered both MP-53 and 54 but man they will not fit in with the other bots. They will most likely end up on my Diaclone shelf.

 

You know, after taking a closer look at the animation model, Takara made the right move in adding details for Skids. To me and just me, there isn’t enough there to justify a full toon deco.

He’ll be out of place for sure but I’m going to put him on blocks. That’ll learn him.

 

I sure would like to see future pics of Skids next to some of the Carbots, to I see how he fits. My initial plan is to have Skids stand by Tracks. Hopefully they will match well, being thin and blue together.

 

Throw this out there, this is the 3rd picture tweet we've got of Skids in a month. I'm hoping this is just extra push due to Honda and the anniversary.......but is this not moving as well as they thought it would, especially given the price? Skids is the 1st MP since I started watching not to hit #1 in its category on Amazon or Rakuten which would probably be the 2 biggest outlets. Even now hes #42 in statues/figures and only got as high as #6, even Reboost had the early start at #1 and is #24 now. The last MP that did all this twitter work for was MP-46, who didnt seen to sell exceptionally great

 

Nice! I’ve been wondering how they managed to give him solid lower legs while having the hatchback space fully available for storage and no seam in the hatchback door. Looks like the door folds up into his back and those inner leg segments flip around to fill in the storage area. Well done, TakaraTomy!
