I am still amazed every time I pick up this figure, it is truly one of the best Transformer figures ever made.

As usual for this commission I took EVERY single part of the figure apart to clean with alcohol, degreaser, and then an industrial brake cleaner to ensure solid paint adhesion. I sanded the entire figure 4 times with finer and finer grit of sandpaper to ensure clearance of all part and proper adhesion of the paints. I then chromed all of the robotic parts with mirror chrome and air frame aluminum, and painted the rest of the parts for the a custom mixed red and metallic blue. Once the figure was done I moved on to working on the HYPER detailed trailer and roller. I tried to emphasize a large number of the details on the trailer while not going overboard. The trailer was chromed and highlighted with various metallic tones. I hate the trailer....... it literally takes double the time the figure does. As an additional feature, I added lights in the robot in the trailer.

As with the first version I did, I added light up eyes and a light up matrix. The eyes and matrix chamber are controlled by a single battery pack in Prime's back, and the battery is easily replaceable. Prime's gun also has a high intensity blue LED installed within it as well.

Incredible! I'm always amazed at the patience required to paint all those little details in the trailer.

Amazing work Andrew, you must have the patience of a Zen master. The trailer detailing alone is chore in itself, and you nailed it man.

Top notch work definitely. The before and after shot is pretty incredible and if I didn't paint figs myself, I'd definitely save up and commission with you cause they don't get any better then this...although I do have to recognize Jbarb78's version as dam good too.
On a side note, this is one painful figure to customize. I am in the progress of doing up one of these myself and wow...lots and lots of work.

Thanks man! I am glad someone else feel the pain of doing one of these figures. It is easily one of the most challenging figures to disassemble, prep, and then paint making sure no damage occurs during transformation. Can't wait to see yours. And Jbarb's most recent version is going to be SICK!

That is some Clever use of Chrome Silver.
To think I could make my own Masterpiece MP-10 look that good.
