I just got a job and now have more than enough money to fuel my transformers hobby but, I cant decide on wether or not to start an all masterpeice collection or a classics collection. I like the size of the masterpeices and how they display as well as how they are the best interpretation of their g1 counterparts but, they are rather expensive and is a slow line. The classics however are cheaper to collect but on display they do not look the nicest and are rather small , but :confusedhave a richer variety of charicters and many third party products are in scale with this line. The question is which should I collect and contribute all my money towards ?

I have more fun collecting classics. I like the wider variety of characters.

As far as I'm concerned, no contest. Masterpieces all the way. It may be pricier and slower, but its so worth it to get your collection looking just right!

Go with both. Just buy Masterpiece when they come out and sell/stash the classics version.

In your case, Classics. It's a little less expensive than the Masterpiece line but you can get bored of it within a few months.

Masterpiece. While slow, the figures are the only ones you'll ever need to buy of each character.

Both! I really like the masterpiece. I got Thundercracker when it came out a few months ago and that was all it took. I got all the others as well. It was expensive, but well worth it.

Masterpiece all the way. But I'd also buy a few classics just to play with.

Keep in mind that because you're starting Classics now you'll be shelling out the big bucks for most of the main-cast, including Ratchet, Starscream and Hound.

I'd say that if you're starting now, go with Masterpiece. The fact that Masterpieces are now in scale with one another and that they're releasing the lesser characters like Red Alert means that, at least to me, Classics is redundant.

I had to vote classics, solely on the fact that there are more of them than there are Masterpiece TFs. However, the more MPs they shell out, the more my opinion will change. MPs are just better in terms of quality, aesthetic, and transformation process. But I like having an abundance of characters on display, rather than a few very awesome high end characters on display. Granted, to be totally honest, collecting MPs won't be near as expensive as collecting classics this far in the game, as the prices of some Classics/Henkei figures will run the cost of MP-12+.

Knock out the MPs, and then move on to Classics. The nice thing about collecting the MP line is that (while expensive), they are spread out more, and there is usually enough time to budget for each release. I would probably go that route, and if you are bored between releases, start dipping into the classics.

Over the past year, I have been primarily focusing on both of these lines, but am at the point where I am kicking myself for not grabbing the MPs I needed (MP-08x, MP-11) when they were more reasonably priced. At the same time, I am at the point where most of the classics I need are either 3rd party, or random Henkei/Botcon stuff that is out of my pricerange right now.

Classics. The line has covered more characters and the toys are generally pretty cool. Classics also isn't plagued by quality control problems like the Masterpiece line has been.

Classics would probably be more fun because there's more of them. Just throw in the occasional MP
