Damn, 41? That's a pretty poor showing, considering SW got #7 and GIJoe #4 (and even those two seem like they should be switched..though GIJoe may be tilted toward 12"ers).

If the Transformers get a little VH-1 love, that's neat. I always like it when stuff like this shows up on the "remember when" nostalgia shows.

Kind of demeaning to know we barely beat out a piece of rope with plastic handles... it's not even a toy, it's excersize equipment.

Those are BS. They probably just did it in the order they thought was right. I mean, how many Hula Hoop fan forums are there...I mean since this was an Internet vote you would have at least expected the toy with the biggest fan sites to win.

Considering the jump rope has been around FOREVER, beating that out is pretty good.

So what'snumber one? Yo yo? Barbie? I might just have to...visit VH1's website. Unless 'Weird Al' Yankovic is doing some commentary again. Then it might be worth watching.

Doubts it's the Taco Bell Chihuahua, much to the chagrin of the guy infront of me who had 6 in the back of his car.

You can vote for next year's here
    http://www.vh1.com/shows/series/i_love_the_holidays/i_love_toys/

Apparently they haven't heard about tracking IPs with this webpage. You can vote as many times as you can stand it and it keeps accepting them. That would explain alot about the list. >_< At least Transformers are number one for next year. ;)

I don't have that much of a problem with the list, except for slinky being where it is. Those things never worked very well.

I'm sure there were tons of online junkies just clicking 'hula hoop' or 'wiffle bat' over and over. Really. You always see 'wiffleballfans.net' popping up. And rare hula hoops are going for 10s of dollars on eBay, right? Oh well. Considering VH-1's track record, I'm not surprised. Now, back to the important question...is 'Weird Al' doing commentary or not?

"I did it like this, I did it like that, I did it with a wiffleball bat."

Wiffleball, man!! Basically baseball, but with a hollow plastic holey ball and a plastic bat. Mostly used for kids too young to wield a real ball/bat and/or to play 'baseball' inside, ala the school gym, at least in my experience.

The f***ing Hula Hoop is #1!? WTF? Damn, VH1 is desperate now. Well, at least the Transformers made it on there.
