Much more respectful closing announcement than Transformers Universe got.
bwah ha ha ha ha
let this be an example..
Maybe now we'll get a book of all the cool art? That's all I played it for anyway.
I deleted it quite a while ago
Well, that explains why this isn't hard.
And nothing of value was lost.
meaning: we,ve sucked up everyone so now we,re screwing you guys because people woke up and stopped playing the game....
It was really fun to play the 1st few months that it was out, but I bailed out shortly after. I still play a few other Mobage games, but will not spend money on them. Their whole "random draw" business model needs to be eliminated.
I'm usually sad about these kinds of things, even games I'm not interested, but I'm actually happy about this.
The fact they're unlocking the complete Cyberdex means that until it's down, everyone can see all the cards. And quite frankly, that's the only thing really worthwhile in the game.
I liked the game solely for the artwork. I never paid for anything on there. And it's been REALLY glitchy as of late. Oh well, I hope they put out something with all the art in it, I would dig that.
Coming as a surprise to practically no one. This game has been going through its death throes for months now. It will not be particularly missed.
That's exactly what I'm going to do! I haven't played this travesty of a game since last October having started in the august of that year. More free space on me tablet now!
.... people still playing?
I had no problem spending some money on this game but to see same players finish in top five all time one every event that is irritating
Naw, they just discovered Battle Tactics and AoE are making enough money where they don't need to waste their time on Legends.
First, no we won't get a book of the art, that isn't in DeNA's business model. Second, why would you want it published in a book where you would have to spend more money to see it?
Hopefully, at least one person with access to the game and can take screenshots (I'm away from home and can't do it with the device I'm on) will get all the artwork and post it up, since the artwork that I saw was well worth preserving (getting some of that on apparel and merchandise would be so much better than the puffy Dreamwave art that doesn't die).
More than likely that, after nearly a year of "rerun" episodes, the player base (and spending base) has whittled down to a point it's not worth dealing with, and by closing Legends, they can then drive those players to Battle Tactics.
Considering how long they've been doing "Best of" events, I think even DeNA underestimated how active the base was.
At least TF was clearly in a downward spiral (Best of reruns for a while now), GI Joe was just cut down without any real notice.
There were only ever 16 or so Best-Of events scheduled (first one was Dark Cybertron a few months ago). The code was all there in the update to kick-off that event. If you want I can go get the list of remaining re-run events.
But you could already see players migrating to Battle Tactics back when that game launched, mostly because most of the Legends community *wanted* to quit but had nothing to move over to.
But let's not pretend this is something they've only now decided. The writing was on the wall the moment "Dark Cybertron" was re-run. Many players with familiarity with the game/code had started warning others at that time.
I played when the game was new and got burnt out quickly on the "pay to win" but with these new additions.. "hey ..why not?" So I installed it to see what I was missing and maybe get Devastator when he's out later this month. Doing nothing involving battle cubes and the game updates 6 times while I'm just scanning or messing with the space bridge and each time it would steal a battle cube. Haha. What a horrible game.
I hope they'll give a refund of the unspent Mobacoins or at least transfer to TF Battle tactics?!!!
