Cost of sunny may have to do with the additional plastic for accessories/parts.? i see it's more than I want to pay but still makes sense to me. Still pretty butt hurt after getting grand Galvatron and having QC issues.

Hmmm. This anime-colored MP-12 must be in response to Sunstreaker getting a Masterpiece figure soon. (Out of curiosity, how different are MP-12\'s colors when compared to Sideswipe in the cartoon?) I wonder if we\'ll get more stuff for Sideswipe like the G2 guns and sword (probably not).

Another thing, it\'s interesting that Doublecross is going to be a Targetmaster. I wonder if Takara will also retool his arms so that they don\'t have gorilla arm syndrome (if you guys catch my drift) and they have proper elbows...

EDIT: Oh wait, didn't Sideswipe have a jetpack in the G1 cartoon? Oh, it'd be awesome if MP-12+ came with a friggin' jetpack!

 

I like TR Krok and Quake, but I'm hoping Takara will give us a better Getaway.

Out of the TR Voyagers, Optimus and Megatron, I believe. Octone also has them and I'm guessing Blitzwing does, too.

Does anyone know if Black Convoy has them? That should tell us if Takara has started using them for Legends.

 

He doesn't. The pictures of him show what look like paint apps instead. Not sure if he was more an exception than the rule due to him being an exclusive though.

 

Still a good sign, though. I think I may end up ignoring the rest of the Hasbro TR Voyagers. I'm really not fond of stickers.

 

I kind of hope that Doublecross' targetmaster is Sawback's drone in white to match Daburu.

 

Sadly, if Takara does something like a Getaway mould it won't actually be Getaway, it most likely will be Lightfoot.

No difference whatsoever, other than the name on the package. It's not like Goshooter or Minerva or something, where you're talking about a heavy redeco. There was no redeco at all between Lightfoot and Getaway.

 

Actually, I think the thing we should really wonder regarding a hypothetical Legends!Getaway/Lightfoot is whether or not it'll borrow from IDW's Getaway. (P.S. Still waiting for him to get his comeuppance on the IDW front. )

 

Hahaha no. What possible reason would they do that for? If they do Lightfoot, it will be as Masterforce-inspired as they can possibly pull off. That's not even in question.

That doesn't look like Getaway at all, certainly not the version from the comics that most people want and, since Takara goes for Japanese show accuracy, this most likely will be the version we will get.

Probably won't happen, but it'd be nice for Sideswipe to have a slightly more screen-accurate bonce and a chest that collapses ever-so-slightly inwards widthwise. Be interesting to see how he turns out (and stands up against Sunstreaker) regardless.  

 

Logic. Collectors have always been impatient, and most will cave and buy the Hasbro version as an impulse buy even after knowing for sure that Takara is going to release their own. An increased time frame is unnecessary because HasTak already has these collectors suckered in.

No, this gap is because Takara most likely feels that their market, between the bombardment this summer of some larger Masterpiece releases, all of the movie stuff, and Trypticon, could use a small break before being bombarded again with some big drops of Legends releases.
