It looks like Takara Tomy Legends LG09 Brainstorm will be getting a reissue at the end of this month. So for those that missed out on him the first go around may be able to get there hands on him. It shows on TakaraTomyMall.jp he will be released September 30th 2016. Information listed below with the link. It also looks like he is only available to purchase thru TakaraTomyMall and is a limited release.

On further research it looks like that TakaraTomyMall is having a preorder sale of limited reissue figures all released on September 29, 2016.

Cool. It is nice how responsive to demand they can be. It's a much more modern and better business approach than other, outdated models.

 

And if this had been Hasbro reissuing it, you'd complain about how they're being cheap and lazy reissuing an older toy for a few extra bucks in order to cash in on the modern Titans line.

 

Uh... but Takara is releasing Deluxe Brainstorm very soon. Why are two Brainstorms coming out so close together?

 

Yay! This is evidence of the popularity of the line. Woo hoo!  

 

Too bad they never reissued Nightbird, Blackarachnia, and Slipstream. All I can say is - glad I got those three when they were first released, cuz I haven't seen them since!

 

Probably because they weren't selling in Japan. You can still get them for roughly $25 each from Mandarake. Nightbird and Slipstream were even under $20 for several months.

 

Something tells me those had much more appeal for US fans, given that Nightbird for one never had an official toy till the Legends version.

Oh and a Blackarachnia that isn't the exact same toy as Tarantulas, just painted differently

 

So preorders go up on on the 21st? If I can get Frenzy & Buzzsaw, I can cancel the Hasbro Soundwave reissue and not have to worry about selling part of the set

 

Ah. That's nice to see. I just bought the Hasbro one of these a week ago and it's a very cool mold. Great little toy for $20.
From what I can tell, vastly superior to the new Titans Return one. Looks like it's pretty popular.
And not a lot of difference with the Takara one.
Reissuing the MP casetticon sets is a good idea too.

 

That`s cool , but I don`t really get the whole 2 Brainstorms circulating simultainiously .... I mean in a way it take`s attention away from the Titans Return line ...... ? ...... N E way ..... I`m glad to see that TR is at least making an impression ...... Thus far The lines ( CW , TR ) are kicking some major ass .... regardless of a few mold flaws with the necks , hollowness on certain figures ect ect .        Still give my left nut for a Cancer / Squeezeplay

well the Mall website clearly states for domestic customers only...but thats only direct from TakaTomy Mall. Id be shocked if these werent made available through other retailers worldwide. Other mall exclusives have.

Having said that, I just spoke with BBTS customer service and they havent recieved any news regarding these reissues to date

 

A Hasbro reissue with no paint, double the price, and horrible distribution? Gee, why would _anyone_ complain?

Anyway, looking forward to the Brainstorm reissue. That was one that sold out while I was deciding if the markup was worth it last time.

 

yeah I walked into Toys r us last week and saw Nightbird, Black Arachnia and Slipstream.

Which is kind of sad cause I was hoping they would sell like arcee and we would get more fembots

 

Tons of them are /have been on ebay. By reputable sellers too and not ko for pretty cheap.
