If they do that I would so buy their Scourge. It's Scourges head with a giant block in back. Of course that would require extensive redesign to take into account head storage.

Yeah, it's less realistic/impossible on the Deluxes, but as noted above, the voyagers already have to stow away the helmets, so at least theoretically the have the room for an attached head... Still seems far-fetched, but it'll be curious to see how TT goes about these...

Thrilling 30 had a ball jointed head; I'm sure they can use that idea here anyway so articulation wise it won't be any different. Even without being headmasters some figures don't move their head much outside of side to side.

Not entirely - in that scenario, the preferred head can be used normally on the figure, while the replced head can just be put into the space on the big gun like a Targetmaster and left there.

For chromedome and Brainstorm they're more IDW accurate. In Fortress's case it's definately Rebirth accurate. I'm still very curious if TakaraTomy will go Headmasters accurate which would also be more toy accurate.

Hey, could someone post who each character is from left to right please?

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to Headmasters, I have still to watch both the tiny few episodes from the cartoon and the DVD volumes anime. I never read any of the comics either. Never got any of the G1 toys either.

    Thanks!

From left to right: Chromedome, Hardhead, Brainstorm, Highbrow, Wierdwolf, Skullcruncher, and Mindwipe.

In doing that I just realized: anyone think we'll get a Sixshot anytime soon? He wasn't a headmaster but he did even out the ranks between the two factions somewhat.

Well, I certainly don't mind paying extra money for improved toy designs.

So far, I'm going for Titans Return Hardhead and Legends Skull(cruncher)?

Ooh. We could get Greatshot. I wouldn't mind a Quickswitch either. M.A.D.L.A.W. is somewhat out of my ideal size, but I'm not going to complain. I'm still eyeing MMC Terminus Hexatron and MMC Grandus Hexatron.

    No.

We were going to get Sixshot in Animated...but Hasbro vetoed the idea, citing that a six-mode voyager was too much for the allotted budget. So they went with Blitzwing instead.

actually,I've seen Highbrow and Weirdwolf prototype at some insider show, but there were too much infomation so I can't remember very clear which version they looks like....I thought Hasbro will show them at NYTF but no,so we have to wait until Botcon.

I think with the advent of Rapid prototyping, CAD-direct manufacturing, 3D printing and the like(and if you are in the industry please forgive me if I misused any of those terms!), it is likely much cheaper now then it was even back in the Armada days when I presume everything was largely hand-sculpted -- I feel like I remember Orson posting that even remolding a new head was a signifigant expense hence UT and Universe 1.0 primarily only having recolors with no new tooling)... Obviously that seems to have change somewhat in the intervening years:: possibly led by them beginning to gang-mold a 2nd head with the first during the, was it Universe 2.0/RotF days??? The. To the massive remolding we saw with Springer to Sandstorm and the total reshelling we are seeing in CW

I need to see the TakaraTomy versions in full colour but I must admit that I leaning more towards them.

According to the latest issue of Figure King, TakaraTomy are considering including 2 guns for their release of Hardhead.

That would be a big enough draw for me to go TT if they did that for all the Autobot Headmasters.

If I wasn't already planning on getting this version, a second gun would've convinced me to do so. :D
