Well, I'll name my Hasbro version Duros, and my Takara version Furos.

Ditto! :D  I love me HMs enough to double dip on both versions (1 of each, I mean). I'm really not sure which version of Hardhead I prefer, for example... and Skullcruncher actually looks cool with the new head (though, I'm a big fan of the original).

I'm thinking the fixed colors alone will make the Takara versions sell better - Hasbro can really f*ck up the colors... :rolleyes2

Currently prefer the Takara headmasters to Hasbro's, but I'm in no rush to own these molds. Will play the waiting game.

It's as if Hasbro and Takaratomy peaked inside my head and said, "What can we do to get him back collecting again? I KNOW! Combiners, then Headmasters!".

Granted, they've practically lost me with Combiner Wars with the 9th, 10th, and 11th repaints coming out but hey, still love a good combiner.

Now, if they'd just do a new Scorponok so I can relive 1987 in all the bliss 29 years later...

IF I got a Hardhead it would be Hasbro's since I always preferred the faceplate head from the toy. But as it stands, I still like my Universe 2.0 Onslaught repaint with the Headrobots kit so I'll probably end up passing on either one.

As far as Skullcruncher goes, I don't see anything wrong with Hasbro's...in fact it even has a more sinister vibe to it...so I doubt I'd pay the extra cash for the Takara version anyway.

Nice to see Takara is still giving the fans options though.

To be honest I actually wouldn't mind have bot the Hasbro and Takara set of the Headmasters/ Titan Masters (Cept Scorponok and Fort that would too insane) cause both teams would represent Headmasters/ The Rebirth. Skull and Hardhead actually look quite nice and I think about getting them when the colored photos appear.

To be honest, I don't like the new heads as much as I liked the hasbro ones.

I'll be in for the TT Hardhead. I hope it's not too far behind the Hasbro releases.

Looks like I'll be getting Takara versions of both, although they could at least give Hardhead a second gun.

I am fine with faceplate Hardhead, but I may just have to bite (crunch!) and get TT's Skull.

I like what TT is doing, but these guys are stil la lot of hollow. Though I also second TT doing a second rifle for Hardhead.

Generally more enthused for FP's Project X line, at least they have plans to do Apeface as a full figure and not just a head. Also I really want to see what they do with Hardhead themselves.

If TakaraTomy is going with Headmasters accurate headsculpts then this may be the first line I go predominantly Takara (not counting MP). This makes me more confidant that Takara will do an HM accurate Fortress.

Takara Skullcruncher's head should have been the default head, and the Hasbro head design shouldn't exist.

Maybe I'd go for Takara versions afterall, they have more IDW-ish heads. Hopefully they keep IDW-ish head of Chromedome. Would be surprising if the head turns into Rewind :D

Hopefully, they don't. Hopefully, their focus remains Japanese fans of the Japanese cartoons.

Neat to see that Takara is again taking a somewhat different approach to the toys like they did with Unite Warriors and their focus on G1 toon accuracy. I'm more a of fan of the Hasbro heads myself, but it's always a good thing to have more options on the table. Looking forward to seeing the decos.

Agreed. Hasbro's already given the IDW option and on top of that FunPub's done an IDW head once before. The more options the better.
