I doubt Springer will be retooled at all since his WFC toy is already incredibly accurate to his design

 

Yeah, it looks like plans for this line may have changed since the leaks first came out.

It's kind of exciting not knowing for sure what could be coming up next.

Similarly, if any of the four rumored characters get pushed, I think it'll be Springer. There are multiple lines of redecoes only where he would fit, even if he is an OG Wrecker.

 

I guarantee you that T30 Springer and Sandstorm were both planned at the same time.

 

Springer would most likely be in the Wreckers subline, I mean we have Impactor so we should have Springer too.
The ones I could see being removed/moved to another line is the Bulkhead redeco.

 

I gotta say, I was gonna skip the Impactor set, because I think the new head continues that terrible WFC of terrible headscultps on awesome bodies. Also, I don't quite like the colorscheme on Spindle. I was probably gonna wait for a sale.

But the Leadfoot/Mammoth pack convinced me to get both revealed so far. Those look absolutely awesome!

Also, really glad the Mastodon fossilizer isn't tied to the Springer redeco, that makes it easier to skip if he's just another clean redeco.

Agreed. I honestly don't see them not doing both Jumpstarters or Springer (since he's one of the only Siege figures to not have a clean alternative).

I could see Springer getting pushed to SS86 or Selects, but only if they wanted to make sure he's got a standard Autobot logo rather than a Wreckers one.

 

That's probably true, so there isn't a major contrast with other pretools. I'm just trying to make the point that the design fits Springer in a way it fundamentally doesn't for Sandstorm based on the scale of changes in all modes.

 

I will disagree and say that Sandstorm fits the tooling better. His two vehicle modes are better than Springer's two vehicle modes.

 

In my country it'll be 1AM when the figure gets revealed. Wonder who could it be, but it definitely is from the second row.

 

If Springer gets pushed, we need another Voyager. There's two Voyager-shaped boxes. So due to the rumor listings and the size of the boxes remaining, Springer seems the LEAST likely to get pushed. If anyone's getting dropped, it's the nonleaked Jumpstarter and Fractyl, since there's only one Deluxe-sized box.

 

SS86 would make the most sense. Plus it would be a most preferable line for him to be in.

There's enough difference between the decoes of Marvel Springer and Sunbow Springer for Hasbro to potentially do the Galvatron treatment and release both decoes in Wreckers and SS86 respectively.

Arcee and Coronation Starscream are evidence that they think SS86 has legs for a while yet, and they might see both Springer versions as viable.

I'd be very tempted to grab both!

 

Once again going to put forward that I think the Impactor/Spindle & Leafoot/Masterdominus boxes may be slightly inflated sizes. Also consider the fact that the Fossilzers are considerably large figures, whether packed in alt or bot mode, whereas the TR Jumpstarters are actually pretty clean figures in terms of space taken up.
