Decided to cancel my Twin Twist on Pulse.

I just really, really dislike basically all the PWT molds I own, so I just can't get behind owning this figure. I'd rather we got/get new jumpstarters that are more up to the WFC+ figures we've been getting first, then do diaclone repaints of those.

That means I'm not gonna complete the hammer, which I do like the look of. But at this point I'd rather save the money and the headache of dealing with what I can already tell will be a frustrating figure absolutely not worth the asking price.

 

Makes sense... I mean Movie Hound is basically Bulkhead with Kup's old soldier persona.

 

Does Impactor have metallic paint or just the yellow like siege Impactor?

 

For anyone with loose wrists on Spindle: dipping the sockets in boiling water for 10 or 20 seconds each, then squeezing them tighter until they cool makes the wrists much more secure. They're still not incredibly stable, but they don't drop out at a touch and can be swiveled without worry.

I was lucky that my copy has reasonably tight 5mm ports, but there's a couple spots that will still need some Pledge. It looks like the looseness is from the ports being too large rather than the legs too small, so for anyone with terribly loose 5mm connections, I'd recommend applying the fix of your choice to the ports and not the pegs.

 

It surprises me a little because the mold is the least-popular of the wave 1 Legacy deluxes and has a high volume of waist failure, couple that with the high pricetag and I would have thought that'd at least given buyers more pause. Hopefully they solved the issue with the splitting waist part, but I won't be surprised if they get hosed and have to buy a Prime Arcee just to fix their figures.

I suspect there's gonna be a lot of those Twin Twist cardboard handle parts floating around, I know someone earlier in this thread was offering theirs for the cost of mailing.

 

Anyone who got Twin Twist, would you be willing to split with your piece of the cardboard hammer? It turns out he's the only one I'm not getting, so I might as well try to source that last piece of the hammer

Just opened mine. No gold paint, but the yellow does have a slight golden sheen to it, with small gold flecks throughout the plastic. So it's not just flat yellow like Siege Impactor

 

That's good to know, I was worried I would have problem doing panel line or custom if it's all metallic paint like Goldbug, thanks.

They share the same plastic colors because new parts for each are on the same mold or molds. So they were able to justify the new parts for each by sharing the new mold required to give them updated parts across the two figures.

 

So who's Masterdominus share one with, his colors don't really match anyone unless they already existed.

Debating whether to keep inpactor set. Its just not that different.
Pulled out my Siege Impactor with the Go-Better set and its good, no need to add another

 

Leadfoot's tooling already existed, so Masterdominus can be whatever colors he wants.

 

My Impactor is still for sale. $25, shipped anywhere in the US.

 

The last couple of standard retail releases I've bought (SS86 Sludge, Blitzwing, Eliza-1) have all had it. I detest the stuff.

 

They were initially rumoured to be coming together before the final line-up revealed he was packed with Leadfoot but this Instagram post from Mark infers that the Mammoth Fossilizer is colour-matched to W'N'R Springer's deco.

 

Just got my Wreckers Impactor and the GX filler set was the only one I found still available. I assume it'll work since none of the parts that get upgraded in the kit have been remolded.

Honestly the legs bothered me so much that an upgrade was essential, but I didn't even NOTICE some of the fiddly little holes this kit fills in. Above and beyond, for me.

I have this kit on my siege Impactor and it looks great, I didn’t replace the shoulder gun or put on the outside leg add one, but I used all the fillers.
