Ok after a lot of effort, floor polish, and a couple teeny drops of super glue, I got Spindle's wrists to hold together. Now it's all great.

Animated doesn't interest me at all, but man, a snowplow truck is a really cool alt mode. I would be down for a new Sentinel Prime.

I dunked those in fresh, piping hot water from my Keurig, squeezed them tight with my hands, then hit 'em with cold water. Fixed it. Is it 100% no, but it's solid enough that I can pose the arms without them falling out/coming off.

Sucks, I know.

Was it ever said if the reason Spindle and Impactor share the same plastic color was so you could make him like a zombified version from the UK comic?

 

I don't believe that was ever stated, but it's a neat idea!

My guess is that they're color matched so that all the new tooling for the two of them could share sprues.

 

Got my Impactor today. Glad they taped the tissue paper for the accessories. If they do this for in store, you can at least tell if accessories were tampered with.

 

Hmm… my Impactor went from “Preparing to Ship” to “Shipping now”. The main listing now shows no longer in stock and a 1-2 month wait.

I ordered two Twin Twists knowing how bad my luck's been with QC, got 'em both and the first one I opened...



Luckily, Amazon refunded me for this. Both of them have weak mushroom pegs at the waists and incredibly weak necks on the headmasters, one had the Wreckers faction logo painted off-center, so I frankensteined into the best one I could keep, but otherwise this figure is fun and I like him a lot more than Topspin.

 

I have been conditioned to accept the weak necks on TR molds, but the peg at the waist on my copy isn’t great- it slides halfway out of where it needs to stay put when I rotate it to pose.

I am debating just returning it for refund. But the deco looks fantastic so I’m torn, lol.  

 

The more I used the waist joint, the less it slid away, now it never gives me trouble, so you may just need to work down a little excess flash in the channel. But it could also be borked, my SS86 Sludge had a screwed up wrist panel that I had to shave down.

As for refunding, it's totally understandable, it may go on sale so you might find it more advantageous to send it back and wait for it to get cheaper. It's not entirely unreasonable if the figure doesn't meet the quality you are comfortable. I am not in love with the price but I'm keeping mine, the figure looks and plays well enough that I don't want to risk missing out or getting another defective copy if it does go on sale.
