My guess is that the Dinoking head will be retooled as well as the individual bot heads but not much aside. Maybe a bit but idk not too much. Maybe if it is a box set it’ll include a weapon or something.

I’m fine with the size cause the boxset will probably be like $120 cad instead of $240 that the deluxe would call. Or more if they were voyager.

I am perfectly fine with them not being anywhere near Deathsaurus n Victory Saber’s height. They’ll fit on a shelf better lol. Plus I will get to have small, wee, lil Dino robo’s. What’s better than that?

 

Still hoping for 5mm port combiner fist on the arm-bots. I got FOC Grimlock's sword ready to be shared with Core Volcanicus (or i could wait for upgrade kit that'll cost the same as the whole set  )

And the anime made noted car-bot Chromedome the same size as Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus. Just a giant ridiculous car. You'll have to forgive me not giving it the benefit sometimes

Frankly, I'll probably buy volcanicus and keep him as a tiny posable combiner. The figure just has this charm, especially with built in feet

I’m not quite sure on whether I like the core class dinobots. Assuredly, one mode suffers more than the other. I know that these are core class figures and they aren’t as good as their larger counterparts. To me core class is skippable. Although I do actually like how they’re able to combine in such a small scale. Most likely I’ll leave them in Volcanius combined form.

Japanese g1 scale is all over the place. All you need to know is nothing is in scale and everything is supposed to be huge. That’s it. This is the same universe where ginrai’s final combine form was eye to eye with grand Maximus and they even fought black Zarak together. Then he turned into normal sized truck and trailer and a fortress maximus sized base mode.

Eh, we'd have to see if it's arms would be strong enough for that. If they're not ratcheted then I'm not sure add on hands would be a good idea.

 

I can see it, or at the least I can see someone make proper feet for Volcanicus.

But I could maybe see DNA making a upgrade kit for the whole thing and maybe the individual robots.

 

It's very likely they'll use the inner robot deco to be honest. I know they're doing merging shells with inner bots for Decepticon Pretenders but Skullgrin turned out having his inner robot's colours so I'd say
it's a 90% chance they use the inner robot deco.

 

I think some of the Dino parts will be outer shell colour but the robot bits’ll be inner bot.

Yeah maybe. I could see some of the more inconsequential parts (like Slugs Dino head n neck) being shell coloured while stuff that’ll impact the bot modes n combined mode more inner colour.

i have had one of those micromaster combiners they are ehh the vehicle mode the combiner kibble makes is sort of neat but that's about it.
