Unlikely, since the United States minimum wage hasn't been increased since 2009.

What are you buying in 2020 that's hollow limbed garbage? These are some of the best toys/figures we've gotten(unless you are talking about the cyberverse garbage if so I get ya)

Yep, and Walmart would put them on sale for $7.84. This was around the time of Generations Cybertron Soundwave. So, 2010-ish?

What a sweet figure that was. ESPECIALLY for $8.

These days were great, Now imagine if we had siege, earthrise, kingdom, generations selects and studio series in 2010, our wallets would have saved a lot more money

Boomers aren't even in to G1. You're confusing the parents of people born in the eighties again like everybody on the interwebs.

The price would be seemingly offset by bump in quality overall but that remains to be seen.

Well I guess I'll say something controversial: if the quality of the figures lives up to what we have largely gotten in Siege and Earthrise, $23 seems alright to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's called Hyper Inflation, things have escalated! And like I said before, the dollar is losing value faster than ever before! Just look at the price of Milk.

I disagree I think the increase in quality is a earned increase in price this time around.

I'd say milk is the same price as it's been for at least 20 years - 1.99 in MI, 2.99 in TN - except for the past year milk as jumped between 1.39 - 2.09 here in MI. If anything, it's generally stayed the same for the past 20-25 years.

my quick research shows since 2010 a gallon of whole milk on average in the US has gone from $3.15 to $3.50... that follows more along standard inflation. (actually a bit less)
adding consistent ankle tilts is realy not a significant increase in articulation from where Generations has been for most of it's run.
I'm always confused by how much play this idea that the WFC have SO MUCH MORE articulation comes in... yes they have more, but for the most part, we're only talking 2-5 more POA then recent Generations figures (ankles being the big one, with waists and wrists being hit or miss)
(and honestly, I don't find the side-side ankle tilts all that helpful compared to when we used to get ball jointed ankles that allowed for forward-back as well as side-side - they basically give you the same effect, but a little better with more options, then the perma-A-Stance feet they were doing a few years back)
