MSRP is $22.99, Walmart still charges $19.87. Nothing changes but you think you get a deal. So I wouldn't worry too much.

Deluxes are now the same price that Voyagers were in 2014.

This is a bit of a joke, especially in uncertain economical times such as the present.

$20 was a good place for the current deluxes. Considering the way tariffs, plastic costs, worker costs, etc are getting higher. And siege/earthrise figures, while smaller. Had a lot more engineering, paint, and higher quality of plastic compared to prime wars stuff. While I’m not happy with the price increase, it is certainly a product of more real world factors that hasbro can not control. Not hasbro being evil(even if they are) and wanting more money necessarily.

    Wow, another price increase?

I guess I\'ll be sticking solely with 3P figures then.  At least those figures are aimed at adult collectors and their prices are (mostly) justifiable.

Really? Because Animated and many of the movie figures were full of articulation, then we have figures like Generations Drift that could pull off some insane poses even if lacking a little articulation in places. I'll admit, WFC trilogy and studio series are a lot better than things like the prime wars or cyberverse and RID figures and all that, but it's just ridiculous how much has been lost over time while prices have increased.

You'd rather pay close to $100 for something that is about voyager sized than pay $23 dollars for a deluxe? o_O  And you say that is more justifiable?

I get that prices will increase over time, but this feels a little too fast for me.
And it\'s too expensive for my tastes.
I\'ll be waiting for sales...or for the pandemic to die down so I can pick them up at TJMaxx for ten bucks.

I think I'm going to stop buying deluxes at normal retail. Prices just getting to high.

    I'll wait for sales.

But there were plenty of other Generations figures that were absolutely fantastic. Even then I don't think the new Cheetor is all that great. Better than the last attempt? Sure. But that figure suffered more because of a bad gimmick and weird choices as far as designing the feet, it honestly could have been great if not for the gimmick forcing a weird design element.

They're supposed to release it during the online Hascon this week. That's if it doesn't get leaked sooner.

Odd. Usually it was the movie line (including Studio) that would lead the price changes.

Admittedly I was out of collecting during animated, and didn't like the movie designs, so my knowledge of those lines is pretty lacking. The truth is that price increases happen, it's an inevitability, and one that the fandom has in part brought on itself by paying 3p prices. But it's not 10 years ago anymore and prices won't be going back down

You really need to reread my post that you quoted ;)  I said nothing about 3p deluxes, which usually run about $60, however 3p deluxes are pretty nonexistent these days

I'm in the same boat. This is good news for Mattel's MOTU and MOTWWEU though.

I wonder if we'll get a price bump at retail on this side of the pond or not then? During Power of the Primes I recall Deluxes going up to £18.99 only to go back to £16.99 with Siege.

I can't keep doing these price increases. I'm already buying fewer and fewer figures because of it. Even $20 is a lot for what you get with a deluxe. I've already started crossing figures off the upcoming list that I had planned to get, such as Runabout. I can't afford spending that much on figures I'm not a hundred percent certain on, or very excited for.
