Walmart now has wave 1 kingdom listed in their system with their prices. It looks like Deluxes are indeed getting a price increase.

sucks that deluxe is getting a price bump, but it is what it is. Gotta make sure people think those R.E.D. figures are a better value than deluxes. Most 3p vendors (BBTS, Thechosenprime, TFSource etc) already charge that price anyway though

 

Wonder if that's actually going to be the MSRP going forward or if that's just Wal-Mart? We've seen that happen before... though admittedly it's been a while.

 

What was the Deluxe price before?

I remember one of the leakers saying a $3 or so price bump was being considered but it was at retailer discretion. Wouldn't be surprised to see pulse still selling them for $20

 

Starting with Siege the deluxe figures went up to $19.99... before that with Prime Wars they were $14.99 I believe?

Ah, thanks. The prices have been changing a lot over the last couple of years. I'm not really surprised though.

 

I love scale, but I'm kind of glad Rattrap's a Core now, because if he was show-height I'd be pretty annoyed at paying £23 for a guy that small.

That being said I would like a Predacon his size because the BW factions are for the most part very even. I'm thinking Quickstrike. He's the shortest Predacon, his transformation is among the simplest in the entire show (if not the simplest), and he doesn't have any accessories. I'm just worried about details (his headsculpt is pretty intricate) and paintjob (because of Rattrap).

Plus, if he's small then maybe if we get an Optimal Optimus there can be a feature where Optimal's head removes and Quickstrike can fit in, to simulate the mech suit of Optimal Optimus he had.

Actually, just found out that he plays cards with Inferno and Waspinator in Changing of the Guard. Maybe I'd like him to be a Deluxe with some accessories after all...

Rattrap is the same height as Blackarachnia in the BW show. He is totally justifiable at the Deluxe price point. Hasbro has forced him to be small.

 

Came sooner than I expected but I am now officially priced out.

No, he just picked one figure from each size class to show the prices. Wave 1 isn't going to only have 1 figure per size class.

That shrinks my buying list by... a lot.
