I was just looking for info on SDCC metroplex and ended up trying out a google news search for "Metroplex" and was fascinated by what I learned about our favorite Autobot city just from the first couple of pages of links today. For example: Good News: New program helps Metroplex employees lead healthier lives Transit system will connect Metroplex to UTA Metroplex receives great workplace award Bad news: Man in Metroplex killed ex-wife, boyfriend; shot self Eleven face federal charges in metroplex prostitution ring I just found these amusing as I never really thought of "Metroplex" as a non-transformers word, made me wonder about others. Turns out Bumblebee was also in the news a lot too. I wonder if Hasbro knows of the problems related to him and his figures: 25,000 bumblebees killed, dropping from trees in Wilsonville; pesticide suspected Scottish farmers could be paid to abandon fields for bumblebees Bumblebee the environmental warrior: Bumblebees take off with a special fungus weapon to save strawberries Was there a lucky draw bumblebee that Britain lost? Returning rare bumblebee to Britain is a dauntingly complex mission Anyone know of other Transformers out there with news worthy lives?
You know that a large portion of Transformer are named after real objects, creatures, and concepts right?
Strafe, Brawl, Onslaught, First Aid, Brawn, Gears, Tailgate, Wasp, Hook, Lockdown, Runamuck, Drillbit, Inferno, Red Alert, Ratchet, Hound, Smokescreen, Snarl, the list goes on. Though Metroplex is a bit of an unusual word.
