Aside from the ratchet which can easily be a one off issue, and cutting out that extra flash that blocked a peg, do any of these issues actually interfere with handling the toy. If no, it's still a good toy

 

Oh no...These QC Issues make me extremely worried for other people's copies. I wouldn't want this figure to be a mess when I eventually get it in hand.

 

Man Star Saber looks beautiful! I kind of want to see how big SS is compared to TR/TL Overlord, that would help me put into perspective how big Star Saber is without Victory Leo. Also I hope mine doesn't have QC issues, I need him to at least have a better figure than Dai Atlas just to prove my point lol.

Victory Leo looks pretty good too. I want to see him next to a WFC/Legacy leader, maybe like Kingdom Galvatron or Magnus as I was hoping he'd at least be that big.

Holi & Fire are cool. As long as they aren't floppy messes, they'll automatically be better than their US counterparts for me.

Also Stickers? Why?!

If my copy ends up being a QC ridden mess that makes even the LG Big Powerd blush, then I might back out of the Deathsaurus campaign. Hopefully the people who got the set early just had the worst luck with QC, which would suck period. But at least the majority of us would have a quality figure.

 

dammit ship him out already! prayers that qc is not widespread. definetly a premium chug figure, meets my expectations. ratchet qc is concerning though...

 

It's widespread with the figures that have been released. Either way I hope it doesn't affect most releases.

 

Where are the examples of other copies with QC issues? So far we have seen only one copy on this site.

 

I hope we don’t get a massive chunk of backers drop out of DZ last minute. Doesn’t seem fair to sabotage one haslab just because another one had a few issues. The poster in question still loves his figure and can display it and play with it just fine.

 

While yes the qc on the first copy we’ve seen is unfortunate all I can do is hope that it’s not widespread and I get a good copy. No reason for me to freak out over anything right now. I’ll wait til I see more copies. Only if most people have similar issues will I not back Deathsaurus.

 

honestly imo it would take for a MASSIVE QC FLOP for it to lose more than 3000 backers over VS. i will be surprised if it doesnt meet all of its tiers 33 days later. tf team just have to do their magic with pictures

It's glue. They must have put too much on some part and it leaked, freezing the joint.

Thought I'd post a follow up in case my previous comment came off too angry, & I'd like to try & be a little more optimistic on the set.

I'm still hyped for this set. But I'm worried about the QC. I think it's justified to be concerned especially because this is a haslab & not just a regular hasbro product (not saying you shouldn't be concerned about that either, but you know what I mean).

Whatever the outcome, I'm still going to keep my order for Deathsaurus, & I think others should do the same. I don't think Deathsaurus should fail because Star Saber didn't live up to the hype.

Also since I mentioned it in my previous post. I don't hate the Dai Atlas set. It's QC is weird, but it isn't awful. The only figure that genuinely pisses me off is Sonic Bomber due to the fact he's straight up missing a pin that holds a part of him together, plus the way the figure is designed is quite iffy in general. Dai Atlas is weird & floppy when I handle him, but I'm somehow still able to get him to hold poses & at the very least he looks nice standing there. That being said I do like to dunk on it, as its kind of just become a meme figure in my collection even if I do have far worse figures. Roadfire is fine, he's just Twin Twist but slightly worse imo.

All in all I still hope the issues aren't wide spread, but even if they are. I want to try & make the most out of the set like I did with the Big Powered set which is objectively a very flawed set.

 

All those issues suck, but the only ones I can actually see as issues, are the ratchet joint being overglued, the blue bit with the weird bit, and the sword not plugging in. I would sort of expect some tiny paint blemishes on a fig that massive, and parts not aligning correctly is an issue with every third fucking fig these days, and although it sucks, I would put it down more to random chance, and bad luck, then poor qc.

Maybe I'm just coping cause I'm going to bed dreaming about this guy Lol.

 

Genuinely don\'t see any complaints people are having about this, specifically proportions. If you look at how the mainline stuff is designed this is very much in that Siege onward pocket of aesthetic. This is meant to fit with mainline, so any complaints when talking about MP aesthetic is irrelevant, just like it was with Unicron. I am so excited for this and it seems like a great set for the price. I can\'t wait to get mine in so I can get him in more dynamic posing, that review Evan did awhile back showed his butterfly joints and ab crunch which is really nice. The colors are also looking very vibrant and spot on. Common hasbro, ship him already!!! 

 

There’s something uncomfortable about seeing those plastic ties go right over the chrome sections. Hope those don’t cause scratches or chipping for those that got him.
