This is true. A lot of people in my country and surroundings were expecting for BBTS or other online stores for a pre-order since Pulse don't ship internationally. Now a lot of people is asking where to buy one after seeing the last images. Strange it didn't go live in other stores. I think TFSource had a listing for some days and it was all.

Most stores didn't put up Sentinel, or Galactus either, so my guess is that they don't want to bother putting out so much money for such a long waiting period.

That and then there's the limit of 5 purchases. :lol

And what preexisting mold should they have used? Gen Selects Black Zarak used almost all of the ER Scorponok mold aside from the head.

I see selects as being the outlet for diaclone and japan only g1 era figs. Regardless of new or exsistong m9ld victory saber isnt a size that i feel warrants a haslab. Unicron and a possible primus ( if they go that size ) yes but not saber. Plus its a character i’ve always wanted but was unable to back and the scalper market will be ungodly scalped and i refuse to support scalpers.

That's all well and good, but the fact is that Generations Selects has not had 1 single release that was a completely new figure, so Victory Saber would absolutely not work as a Generations Selects figure.

youre entitled to your opinions but id rather see characters from the g1 japan only series hit regular retail so EVERYONE has a chance to get it not just those with endless amounts of excess money.

It's not an opinion, it's a verifiable FACT. Every single Selects release to date has either been a repaint or a retool. There has been a grand total of 0 new mold figures in Generations Selects.

Maybe they'll do Victory Leo and Star Saber as a core class set for you someday.

pretty much all of us would have liked to have seen that but it’s not really feasible to expect Hasbro to put an undersized Titan class price figure at mass retail when the character had almost no media representation outside of Japan in over 30 years. Thats a huge risk and a lot more corners would have had to have been cut to make it happen. And let’s not act like $180 is an obscene amount of money. It’s not trivial but it’s certainly feasible for people that collect toys as a hobby.

Sometimes everything isn't for you. I would love to have a Lambo but it isn't meant for me. Maybe one day it will be. You are not entitled to anything. The post stating folks in the west didn't have the media exposure to JPN G1 is exactly right. This would have been a big risk at titan level

Besides what other folks have said, HasLab figures are made-to-order, and thus cannot be scalped. You're not supporting scalpers if you buy one later. You're supporting someone who allowed the extra copy of the figure you now want to buy to exist in the first place.

Never thought of myself as having an endless supply of excess money just for panning out my finances to partake in this Crowdfunded project. You think maybe we will be graced with this before winter?

Yeah, I think most fans would like for everyone to be able to get any figure in the easiest manner possible but sometimes that’s just not feasible.

HasLab doesn’t exist to create a barrier for fans. It’s not about “you can have this figure but these other fans can’t.” It’s about releasing niche items with increased budgets to a smaller audience because it would flop on mainstream shelves.

I mean, how logical would it be for Hasbro to sell fewer units using HasLab instead of releasing it mass retail. There’s a reason Hasbro didn’t release it through mass retail and it’s not to elevate some fans over others.
