For anyone thinking a reissue would come from haslab is a breach of trust and would destroy the backer system. you pay for something that wouldn’t exist if not backed making it something special.
you removed that special ingredient and it’s no longer worth backing g if it get another go around

I disagree, I prefer the one we got (If only he had a silver face though, lmao).

That said, this definitely beats the Netflix version.

I don't know how many times this needs to be addressed, but here we go.

His hands aren't too small. They're the same size as Jetfire's, if I'm not mistaken.

His gauntlets, are indeed fuckin' huge, but it's in order to simulate the flowing sleeves of a swordsman's kimono.

Let me address your oversight. I will only say it once.

My original post about the hands appearing too small for Victory Saber were from an older image I had seen.

I posted again shortly after that to say the hands now appeared correct and looked like the same ones used for Siege Jetfire prior to myself seeing the video. Another member confirmed this to be the case that in the video they actually reference siege Jetfire hands being used.

How about you be more accurate and pick out those other posts from me rather than jumping just on that first one. ;)

(Page 785 in this thread is where I reference siege Jetfire hands- you upticked me a second ago on it).

@fatfaso - with hindsight probably something I shouldn’t have said as could very much be construed as insensitive. Anyway, looks like all ok on the hands front for VS!!

The final version is going to be so frickin' awesome.

Can't wait for the next update. Or better yet, in my grubby little mitts. Hee hee.

Haha. I don’t need to edit my post, pal.

Just as much onus on you to be more accurate and less selective in the posts you want to pick holes in from the same contributor. Maybe take your own advice on the edit function with your own post. Haha.

Negative. You asked if they used a 'similar setup to siege Jetfire'.

Bar none, his hands aren't too small.

I like that they are using the same kind of hands as Siege Jetfire. Always thought that was pretty clever.

Implied. If the hands are the same size as the ones used for siege Jetfire they are better scaled given VS/Jetfire are suppose to be similar heights of 11-12 inches tall.

Ok I will say it precisely now, the hands are not too small as per the first older image I saw and referenced.

I have said I think Haslab have done well here and I’m very much looking forward to getting my mitts on this. Will certainly be more fun/quicker transformation and combining of the parts than MP SS and KFC Simba.

Seeing everyone be excited over this guy while I'm not is making me sad.

I'm gonna hafta try watching the video later to see if I can get into the hype as well.

So excited after seeing the size, articulation, and the amount of thought that went into the transformation including all the little flaps that hide empty spaces. Before the video I was worried about what kind of 3P upgrade kits we'd need. I feel like this was a bargain.

I kept panicking at the thought of saving money aside for MP Raiden, Legacy, and Star Saber, then read someone else's comment reminding me that it's already paid for. Elation.

I bought two, one to keep and the other to offset the cost, but maybe now I want to keep both? After all, why shouldn't I?

I've often criticized Hasbro reveals, saying how we don't need to see anyone's faces, just point the camera at the toy and do what hundreds of youtube toy reviewers do every day and give us a clear 1080p look at the toy. This time Hasbro delivers. A big thank you to Evan. I'm really happy that he went through all the transformations and articulation. I hope that this will set the standard moving forwards for Hasbro reveals and updates.

    On the toy itself:

    + Star Saber looks fantastic
+ Love the sword orientation options
    + Great articulation
+ Excellent use of the shield in all modes
+ Much better V-Star to Victory Leo connection, that looks really solid
+ Victory Leo's transformation is spot on
+ Like the Victory Leo leg-to-wing tabs
+ Love the functionality and options with all the weapons on both bots

o Victory Leo's wings could be a little bit bigger
o Not a huge fan of the bent wings on the back of the V-Star
o The Saber jet to V-Star connection in vehicle mode is one of the weakpoints of both the G1 and MP versions and it looks to be a similar situation with the Haslab
o Not really sure what to think yet with the V-Star transformation, some new ideas but it doesn't seem that smooth

    - Don't like the proportions on the Saber robot and jet at all, he looks way too squat in both modes, arms too thin, shins too big
    - Don't like the hollowness on Victory Leo
    - Don't like the completely hollow Saber forearms with a see-through 5mm hole
    - Not a fan of the jet nose to blade length proportions
    - Not a fan of the jet nose peg hole position on Saber's shoulder

Overall I'm really excited for this.

    Yes
    Doubtful
    Yes
    Yes

Agreed with SS86 Grimlock. In the case of SS86 Hot Rod however, they clearly learned the wrong lessons, what with the fake chest and squeezing a voyager-level transformation into a deluxe size.

In the case of Primes, I don't think they learned enough.

MP-24 prices have been quite steady and in some cases they've even fallen. Check Japanese websites.

He's close but there are many things that a 2.0 version could improve.

So, watching the video... "hot-stamp foil" for the chest detail (I recall a bit of back and forth many months ago about whether or not there were sculpted details there - seems now there won't be). What's that? Sounds like a cross between a tampo and vacuum metallising. Are there any examples in current lines of this method? Is this something Hasbro ought to be using more often? Or is it being used here because of the bigger budget?
