Missing the point. I didn't say don't do any form of communication, I said publish traditional videos instead of streams. I will spell it out very clearly:

Stream: ""1080p"" but still very blurry, one take only, single viewpoint so we are forced to see the two dudes hold up the figures, can't even properly position the figures so Star Saber's feet are always beyond the borders of the video.

    Video
: Proper clear 1080p, they can do as many takes as needed, show the figure in isolation, switch views between presenters and figures as needed, showcase size comparisons like how any TF youtuber would do.

Hasbro/the TF team very clearly have the setup:

Yes this is highly likely, but also highly unprofessional of them. As a longtime customer, of course I would call them out on it. I criticise because I want to see them do better. I know they can do better.

Yes I am well familiar with this. Just because many companies do doesn't mean it should be acceptable in all circumstances, especially when it comes to external communications. Especially when it is essentially the "kickstarter pitch/introduction video" which is supposed to raise them a minimum of $2M. Here is an official TF video:

Why couldn't they just do this for Haslab VS? I mean the style and clarity of the video of course, I don't expect them to fully transform the prototype.

Exactly this. This should have been a MAIN line Generation Selects release.

Has anyone figured out how tall (or estimated how tall) Victory Saber is by just eyeballing what we've been shown?

You could write a thesis on it and people wouldn't care. They've got their drum now and their gonna beat it.

Not if they don't think it could turn a profit at retail. That's why this is HasLab. To test the waters. Depending on if it succeeds and to what extent, it will likely influence future plans.

Not that it'd matter. Seeing the complaints about Hot Rod and Rodimus, imagine a Titan figure at retail that was this sized.

Not that I’d necessarily want lights or sounds with this, if they included a stand for him at one of the higher tiers it would be a good place for electronics rather than in the figure itself.

They could even just reuse this old MP stand that had sound feature.

Needs to also include why Haslab smaller production numbers compared to mass retail result in higher pricing.

Not that anyone would actually read it.

That is great and all but you examples and complaint is on a video to drum up excitement and knowledge of a project being worked on and offered for ordering because they are unsure of how it will sell, not something that has been fine tuned and is planned for mass release. While you can state there are different ways to edit this, it was a live stream and not a full blown song and pony show. It was just like everyother live stream out there.

Hey we are working on X, the upper folk do not want this in the main line, would you as fans want this? We can make this happen if we get Y number of preorders, here is what we have so far....

Was it ashame you could not see the figure as a whole, I guess, but they did give a rough idea of size vs deluxe WFC Siege Hound. It may be possible to write Hasbro and ask that all figures be on a desk and a ruler be shown next to them. No interaction from people that worked on it with a level of pride in what they made and are hoping others may like. If you are able to make a better product and have better marketing then let's see what you have.

I do kind of agree with you, in that it would be nice and would look slicker and more professional.

Unfortunately one of the main reasons why they can't is that the team/department that produces in-house video has been severely hamstrung by COVID protocols and working from home.
They've had to prioritize more traditional advertising/commercials for the other dozen or so core brands and products Hasbro pump out to kids worldwide.

Not to mention it costs a lot more than the current solution.

Anyway back to talking about the bots themselves, who else is really digging the larger combined Vstar vehicle mode?

Makes the MP version on my shelf look incomplete.

If I had a dollar for every time someone misunderstood the point of crowdfunding this, I'd have enough money to back the entire project by myself

Oh for sure. I was just looking at the number they used for the Sentinel and Razorcrest as “the sweet spot” that is a reasonable enough splurge but not a healthy chunk of rent like Unicron was. Im also looking at ER scorponok fully kitted out with DNA design addond (and imagine lights and sounds an included Fasttrack and think “yeah I can see over $300 for all of that”. What I don’t want to see is $450 titans though.

I've jumped on the bandwagon too. This needs to happen.

    And backed!

People keep saying this, but they're doing great. The Galactus project cleaned house and they did the exact same presentation style.

I know it's fun to wrap petty complaints with a veener of concern, but that's all it is. A veener.

Not my thing, I’ve never liked the Japanese series, but I’m thrilled for the fans who want this. I’m hopeful… may be wishful… this will lead to a Haslab Masterpiece Devastator.

I hope preorders also reach Japanese fans. Star Saber's a very popular character over there, and it would suck if they didn't get him at all

I feel both the Saber and V-Star vehicles came out better here. The proportions seems to have favored these modes, where the MP seems to have favored the robot modes.

It will. Just like Unicron. Takara has channels available, I believe via TTMail. They're just not opened yet.

Definitely. I imagine the TT Mall backings will account for a huge chunk of the campaign. My guess we will get about 12k from Pulse, around 7k from TT Mall, and about 3k from other affiliates.

It may have already been asked so please forgive me if I’m asking again would take a while to read through all 70 pages.

Is it possible for Hasbro to still add inside thigh fillers in for Victory Leo? Star Saber looks great!
Gets frustrating paying an additional cost for fillers on eBay that do not fit perfectly or completely match Hasbro‘s colors.
