This. BBTS in particular has offered every Haslab product for a markup once the campaign ended, just not sure how long it usually takes them.

I had no idea... Honestly, none... I just would say the colors. Now I know. I'm sure it use to be half the battle but I'm sure it's something else now too.

Eh, I don’t know how widespread it is. I’m around a lot of queer spaces so it’s probably more common a term for someone like me. Don’t sweat it.

*Enters the thread after not having looked at it in some days. Observes the current state of it and slowly backs out the door*

Edit - Not a social commentary, just an observation on how far out into the weeds the chatter got. Almost ripe for a POTP combiner debate… Almost…

I wasn't invoiced at all, I was charged on Monday automatically! Is there a charge, pending or complete, on your card?

Random thing I was thinking about yesterday: As cool as the Holi and Fire micromasters are, it's less cool considering they're just recolors of WFC Stakeout and Red Heat. It would've really put it over the top if they had included new little molds of the complete quartet so that it would have Boater and Pipo as well. Especially considering that if you were to rank how important any of them were to the Victory story Fire was probably the least significant of the 3 as Boater and Pipo at least each got an episode where they got a reasonable amount of screentime.

I know that it's a cost thing and that making a pair of brand new micromaster molds would easily be a lot more expensive than simply running existing molds in new plastic colors, but this indifferent dismissal of Boater's greatness will not stand!

Alternatively it might've been fun if instead of Fire they had re-used the Siege Hyperdrive mold with some minor modifications to make Clipper as an homage to the fact that the Zone character Gingham was a essentially a perfectly good stand-in for Clipper in the original Micromaster runs and Gingham himself was a recolor of the original Hyperdrive.

But of course this is quite probably the single least important aspect of the Victory Saber pack to be obsessing over :lol .

Tbh I’m okay with them being repaints. Because they look much better than the originals imo. I do hope we get a Pipo and Boater at some point (core class I’d assume).

Powerboobs. Or possibly Boobmasters. Or I believe in my Victory watch I repeatedly referred to them as the "Titforce" after running through just about every other slang term for breasts that I could think of.

Because in the end we're all a group of people talking about plastic robot toys, so the answer is: yes, we are all still mentally 7 years old and giggle and boob jokes. Thanks for asking! :lol

Well, it stinks that Micromasters didn't sell better in Siege and Earthrise and were phased out. So many Patrol teams need to be completed, including the Rescue Patrol!

And it's a double bummer larger Micromasters bases weren't released, such as Skystalker and Countdown. Then we could have had the Victory Thunder Arrow and Shuttle Base!

Who knows, maybe Micromasters can return with bases and multipacks or versus packs in the Titan or Commander classes someday!

in some alternate timeline, Star Saber won the POTP vote, and we got an Optimal Optimus haslab thing instead.

Gahh, I was just looking on ebay for those two sets the other day because of this funding.

I better trademark it before Hasbro.

New molds would cost too much, so much so that we wouldn’t get the shield. Also these characters were just redecos of those same figures in the 80s so it’s not like there really is anything that would need to be changed.

I would hope not Core class because the scale would be waaay off. The whole appeal of the Micromaster teams is the uniformity of size, but I'm looking at the core figures on my shelf right now next to various Siege/ER micromasters (which I have out as stand-ins for their Japanese equivalent characters) and they all pretty much come up to the waist of a core figure. So you'd have tiny Stakeout/Holi and Red Heat/Fire and massive (relatively speaking) Seawatch/Boater and Fix-it/Pipo

I hope that if they're going back to that well it's just with another run of Micromasters. There's a whole fertile swath of classic Micromaster characters that never got updates and teams that only got half their members, plus they did like 2 or 3 Micromaster combiner sets in WFC and no others.

I'd even be OK with them making a bunch of Micromaster 4-packs that sell for a price point in between Core/Master figures and Deluxes. Because here in Canada the minis tend to cost about $12-14 Cdn while the Deluxes are now around $32-34. Gimme 4 Micromasters for $20-25 and I think its presence as a price point might soften the ever increasing cost of most size tiers.

Put in a secondary trademark of Milkmasters. That way if anyone complains you can claim that it's a line meant to demonstrate a fondness for dairies and dairy products (and maybe then make a new Breastforce-ized version of a tanker truck bot like Octane or RID01 Scourge and have it deco'd up to be a milk truck)

I'm starting to think about picking up a second G1 Fixit and Seawatch now and painting them to match the Pipo and Boater show colors, and complete Holi's team!
