Yup! Been losing 3 ebay auctions for vintage Saber. I won a bare no weapons Victory Leo.

This opportunity to get both, modern(I have the MP too) application is a bullet I'm willing to take.

The price is acceptable (have to pay Canuck taxes though  ).

Victory Leo is up too high there. His feet are just barely out of frame there. He definitely doesn't have half a shin hiding there to make him an even height with Star Saber.

 

I\'m gonna say this now to all european purchasers looking to buy this. Stop letting Hasbro shaft you up the arse, and dont back this. The only ones to benefit will be the U.S. collectors. Let me explain. First is the price. $180 in U.S., £180 in the UK. That\'s £50 difference and yet they will be made and imported to from the east to all countries. The same will apply to euro prices. Secondly as we learned with Unicron, there will be a difference to what you see now, as to what you get. And this the real reason why they displayed non coloured prototypes, because with unicron the maw was different along with other paint issues. So they didnt want to give us any idea of colours yet because they know it wont be what you will actually be happy with. And then we have the time frame. Shipping in 16 months!!! Really you could have this out in 12 if you lowered the backers count, but you went even more than unicron required. And the tier awards count without even showing what we are aspiring to. So let\'s make a stand, unify the price value to the consumer so we all get equal value. Let\'s put a stop to this ridiculous marketing strategy by hasbro, making products addictive to the fans. We are not getting equality on the value of this and we have to make a stand now or it will continue with future products. Who\'s with me????
 

 

Hm, the two Hounds are noticeably not sized properly with each other, even aside from the angles of the figures. The HasLab pics should be a bit larger relative to the Siege pics.

 

If this gets to be successful, I hope Hb makes a mass retail release of Dezaras. Pretty please....................with green energon on it!

You know a lot of that is so many other things (setup of production, etc.) that have no relation to the number of units, right? And don't even get me started on the fact that if they decrease the minimum backer number the price will go up to compensate for reduced economy of scale.

 

I think it was Apollux who said earlier in the thread that there's apparently early plans for a Deszarus Leader-Class figure in 2023 if Victory Saber is successful.

 

People suggest Holi as a possible candidate for a stretch goal. I can propose another: Hasbro can fit Star Saber with a voice chip that plays various quotes from the Victory cartoon. You likey?

Yeah, it's never going to be perfect, but I suppose it offers some loose sense.

Straight $ to £ conversion makes $180 £130
20% of that is £26 making it £156
So it's a whopping £24 more expensive, big deal, we're almost paying that for some deluxes now.

It's the price of Masterpiece Star Saber but it also comes with a whole other figure, and presumably they're made with the more interesting Generations engineering from the last few years.

Yep. It'll likely be half backed by Monday, and that is (presumably) just with US and UK backers. I would expect that number to shoot up pretty quick once they start getting orders from 3Ps.

Especially since Japan has yet to weigh in.

 

I wonder how long it'll take for hastak to reveal the other stretch goals, once it reaches something like 7500 backers maybe?
