Sorry, yeah that's what I meant but didn't make myself clear, I knew he had wrist rotation, just wondered if the hands only fitted a specific way for transformation (like you said, thumbs might get in the way etc.)

    1) Do you have the OP on ignore?
    2) Yes, probably from third party orders

Do you have the thread starter on ignore? Also, yea, it's been mentioned. They added some international orders post closing the campaign.

TM2 Megatron was asymmetrical with the long dragon head as one arm. I'd much rather see a new mold engineered. This would be like remolding Kingdom Scorponok into Quickstrike with a snake head in place of the tail. It's not the same arrangement of alt mode parts.

Ah, that would do it, huh. Thanks.

Yeah, I knew it was third party orders, just didn't know if it had been brought up here yet. Last I saw people were talking about the ~22000 number being the final total, but I haven't been closely following the thread.

Well, sure, we could get multiple Commanders per year, but as I mentioned earlier, I supposed it would be cool if a G1 accurate Deathsaurus can also become a combiner torso if they wanted to add in another gimmick and some more play value. It wouldn't be out of left field either, because the CW figure could do just that. I think this approach would be a nice way to reference G1 Deathsaurus as a character via his physical appearance, and the CW figure through the combiner ability, but I don't know what the feasibility of turning a G1 faithful Deathsaurus figure into a torso would be.

Quick question though, what other commander are we getting in 2022 other than Motormaster? It's a mainline release and not the Shattered Glass Jetfire, right?

While possible, I don't think a lot of people would go for it. Also, depending on how they name a future figure, there's the possibility that CW Dezarus and Deathsaurus are 2 completely different characters, especially considering there's really no fiction supporting the CW figure.

That's why I proposed the shells as a stretch goal. It allows them to see if there's enough of an audience for the combiners on their own, but in such a way that the door doesn't shut to the possibility of the shells like doing the same thing at retail would.

TM2 Megatron and BWII Galvatron come to mind as guys who could all share a similar framework. People would likely stone me to death, but the change would be to give TM2 Megatron a removable dragon head that exposes a fist, which would then allow Galvatron and Deathsaurus to be closer to their G1 counterparts.

"OH NO PARTSFORMER!" oh no who cares if they're still accurate to the original design as the WfC line did?

Clearly it makes the most sense to retool Siege Magnus to make a new Deathsaurus.

I’m actually curious how they will refer to that gimmick—if at all. Because of “think of the children” and because the name is pretty clunky, “Breastforce” is probably right out. But then do they go with “Chestforce,” “Powermaster,” “Titantitty?” Wait....maybe not that last one.

Besides I wouldn't put CW Dezarus as the definitive version of the character for chug anyway.

If I were an organizer on the design panel for exclusive toys at Botcon (where scale was less an issue and everyone was just happy to get a character), I'd use Siege Soundwave.

    1. He's at least sized well with Optimus and Rodimus Prime at a voyager.
    2. He's capable of the breast gimmick. The tape door just needs a retool.
    3. Add some legs and wings to the alt mode and a way to have a dragon head.

heh. Not at all. I consider him a pet that the remainder of the team named after their fallen leader.

They could reuse some terms they used with Soundwave over the years, "deployers" for one, "drones" another. They are also technically Targetmasters, so they could reuse Battlemasters from Siege as well!

Reusing Battlemasters is probably the simplest, they could go a step further and single that group out as the Destron Battlemasters if they wanted to

I am pretty sure HasTak is past the time of unwarranted redecos/remolds. They have been very good at only using molds that actually suit the characters. For example, Kingdom Slammer could have easily been a redecoed Warpath with possibly a more rectangular turret. Instead they made him a brand new mold. If we ever do get a new Deathasaurus or BWII Galvatron they would most likely be brand new figures which is awesome. The only reason I brought up my nightmare of Deathasaurus being a ER Skylynx redeco is to really demonstrate how much things have changed. I just want a brand new BW Neo Magmatron!

Just wondering because they did so for Galactus. Never said or implied it wasn't already worth the money, I bought 2.

I could see Dezarus being part of a line-wide Powermaster-style gimmick.

The only reason Galactus had "secret" tiers is because they didn't reveal any extra tiers until the one before it is met. With Victory Saber, Hasbro just decided to reveal when the tiers were met ahead of time and how many they were, most likely to stop wild speculation and people getting their hopes up. The only project with an actual secret tier is the Sentinel, where the Tri-sentinel head was revealed last minute and they didn't even have a finished render yet.
