I saw earlier how people were asking if Victory Leo had a tail, and not just a little nub. well I was watching Victory (as ya do) and noticed that he has some sort of tailfin in lion mode that swivels down to become the nosecone for jet mode.

So where did they get the idea for the little nub for?

I could easily see a leader-sized figure at at commander-class price to account for the double-breastmasters, weapons, and his huge wings.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. Able to have the size with all the bells and whistles one could want.

I was just doing some thinking. Because of Motormaster next year in Legacy, it was rumoured that every year, Hasbro will do a new combiner with the torso bot being a Commander. If so, and Deathsaurus is a Commander, maybe they could make him a composite of his G1 and CW figures in terms of functionality. Maybe he gets a figure that is G1 toy and cartoon accurate, but the Breatforce/Liokaiser are the combiner for that year's line and Deathsaurus can become an alternate torso for him, just like the CW figure. That would be a long shot, I guess, but I think it would be cool.

As if we needed more Gundam comparisons. That's totally a Gundam shield bracket.

Eh looks like a regular shield placement for TF figures from WFC.

Not with the extra hand-grip, it isn't. Also, it doesn't look to be a 5mm connection, but a C-clamp for the forearm-mounted position.

Huh for some reason I thought it was a 5 mm peg connection, my bad.

ELI5: I might have missed it, but what relation does Christopher Sabat have to Star Saber as a character or the Transformers franchise? AFAIK, he has no prior professional connection to the franchise, so I might be missing something and thought it was peculiar that they chose him to discuss this figure with. But as mentioned, I think he'd be a good choice to voice Star Saber if he gets an English animated appearance.

Apparently he asked Hasbro marketing to do an interview with about Star Saber and they obliged. He hasn’t done any professional work on the franchise, but it doesn’t matter because Chris Sabat is awesome!

So it's like Antoine Griezmann and Yu-Gi-Oh! then, I think. Well, this was a far better choice, IMO, than that. I'm just curious about if Sabat is a closet Transformers fan or something, since it otherwise seems a bit random.

I think Sabat would do better as Ginrai/Victory Leo than Star Saber.

Edit: If they ever plan to dub it.

He said he watched the cartoon growing up. So I assume he’s a fan.

Sabat at least seems more into it than Griezmann did with Yu-Gi-Oh!, I will say. I wholeheartedly approve of this collaboration though. Hope Sabat does more work with the franchise and maybe more promotion for Star Saber. Also hope Hasbro sends Sabat a free Star Saber figure as well. Apparently, Griezmann watched the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime as a child, but good lord that man knows little to nothing about the franchise. Not that it matters now. Konami gave him the boot after his racist controversies became known.

Dunno who he is, I assume he’s a voice actor? Edit: ok I see he is a sports player.

Yeah. I think it's potentially good marketing to get a famous face that might not be part of the fandom as a brand ambassador to draw in potential new fans, but at the same time, it can be a bit of a double edged sword, since the person in question might not know all that much about the franchise and may only be doing it for a paycheck or new endorsement. I remember watching interviews held between Griezmann and some Yu-Gi-Oh! YouTubers where they asked him about his involvement with the franchise and how much hew knew about it. Let's just say my forehead was an angry red after all of it because of all the facepalming I did.

We got two years of Micromasters along with their bases as new characters. We got Pretenders in PotP and more next year. As well as DoubleDealer, Fangry, Nightbeat, Scoop, Spinister, Quake, Quickswitch, Darkwing and Dreadwind, Getaway, and Crankcase next year.

So cry me a river, that's as many, if not more, figures than Beast Wars has gotten, let alone any other TF series has in Generations.
