I'd love to get a high quality, commander class (maybe Super) Jinrai with no compromises and the full, inner robot and cab transformations.
I went ahead and backed this and despite not seeing Victory, I'm hyped because I always liked Star Saber's design.
Kept ya waiting huh?
Sounds convoluted and may not work...where do I sign up?
There’s a MySpace page for that!
No worries. I probably could've been clearer too.
Besides, it turns out that I'm a weak, pitiful soul and caved to buying it
If it had been any other JpG1 series besides Victory I might've held out (or if it had been prohibitively super-expensive like Unicron). But I watched Victory in the last year or so for the rewatch project I'm doing on the cartoons board (for the first time beginning-to-end) and ended up really liking it.
Like if it was God Ginrai/Powermaster Optimus Prime, or Dai Atlas, or a Lio Convoy/Lio Junior set or whatever I would've likely never given buying it a second thought (maybe Dai Atlas because he looked cool even if Zone was a ridiculous mess as a one-off OVA). But it just had to be an interesting character from my favorite of the Japanese G1 shows and possibly 2nd favorite of the Japanese shows overall to the point I've watched (mid-way through Car Robots/RID01).
I'm trying to think of what character or opportunity might've tempted me more.
A Big Convoy/Magmatron dual set if one of the backer goals was little Navi/DNAVI figurines? That'd probably have done it. Because DNAVI was seriously the best part of that show
This makes me a little hopeful for that rumor that Hasbro was looking at winding down the creation of Titan sized figures for every line to have some truth to it. Because I can also justify this better if I look at it as "possibly the last time I'll spend several hundred dollars on a single Transformers purchase"
Let’s not forget cartoonnetwork still holds the rights to TFA and that maybe an issue regarding releasing any new TFA figures.
I think you need to start with a change.org petition to gather support for the kickstarter that will fund the MoveOn campaign to demand Hasbro to allow HasLab to fund it.
Maybe start a blog to draw attention to the petition as well.
That’s a wrap on Hasbro UK Pulse:

Congrats on the whole thing being fully funded with all the tiers.
Did they ever should his sword with the blade rotated?
Thanks for all the support for victory saber UK TF fans
Just put in an order for Victory Saber. I'm also pretty happy to see that the tier with the Micromasters was unlocked too. And you know what: even though these guys aren't my top choices for Japanese characters that I want, I think I am glad this figure was a HasLab one, and not something that had to be compromised for a size class or gimmicks that may mess up the look of the figure. I remember when SS was one of the characters that you could vote to be the next Prime, and if he had gotten a toy, I don't think it would've been as good as this new one we are getting. Now TBF, I know that POTP had the "Evolution" thing with the Leaders, and that probably would've worked out okay for SS. But overall, I don't think the Leaders in that line were that good, so who knows what SS could've looked like if he had gotten a figure 3-4 years ago. So even though it may be a bit of a pain in the ass and a gamble, I'm glad that they started this HasLab thing in general.
Cartoon broadcast rights have nothing to do with trademark (“character and toy rights”). Hasbro owns all Transformers. They own Animated, its characters, and its designs. They can release whatever they want, regardless of how individual shows may have weird legal tape on who can re-release the episodes.
Define "probability factors." Your statement says and proves nothing.
Technically that's wrong. Cartoon Network definitely does not hold the rights to Animated since reruns of the show were played on The Hub concurrently with TFP.
Well then Hasbro needs to get on the ball on TFA.
I don't think Hasbro has signed any rights in regards to toys away to Cartoon Network. That would be bonkers.
It would mean that if anything "resembles" a character from the animated series there would be legal issues. Hasbro would avoid that at all cost.
And we had a Blitzwing with multi face options in the generations line.
I know, right? It's been over ten years and TFP is getting brand-new toys intended to actually be those characters before it. I don't count the old Lugnut and Lockdown from the Movieverse era, nor do I count the super crappy head gimmick on T30 Blitzwing.
TFA needs to be in Legacy alongside other non G1 brands. It’s pretty annoying TFP is getting a shot but TFA is ignored..
