Hoping it makes to the last tier, but if not... two outta three ain't bad.
Bear in mind in other parts of the world we still have the pandemic to deal with..
I don’t want my near 200 dollar item to become a qc nightmare. If waiting a year means it becomes a high quality item then so be it.
I actually agree with everything you said, which is exactly why I believe over a year is far too long for this guy to be shipped. Unicron was a 27 inch, 19 lb behemoth that they had to completely invent unique packaging and support stands for. In addition to the fiasco that the pandemic brought upon it, making it much more challenging to produce in time. the very fact that this figure will only take (supposedly) 4-6 months less than Unicron to ship with all those complications is ridiculous to me.
Soon as "and I really don\'t care", I added them to the ignore list. Must be fun for them to live in fantasy land
Wow so you really just didn’t read any other reply I guess. Where it is explained why it happens.
I’m happy with what we got so far.
So happy to see we only need less than 1000 backers for tier 3!
But you didn’t add it to your fictional “ignore” list apparently lol, since here you are. I said that because there’s always bound to be someone out there who has to act smart and break down a process they really don’t technically know about. We’re all on the same page here, and most (if not all of us) have not worked the process, so my speculation is as good as yours. It’s a concern I have so it’s fair for me to voice that.
This is literally exactly how every one of these HasLabs has gone. They are in early prototype stage at the time of the campaigns, everything has to be finalized, then they move into production, then have to be shipped by boat from Asia, moved to distribution and eventually to our doors. It’s the same reason we find computer listings for product that’s a year away.
i kinda freaked out when i heard they might ship it next year December since this is all new to me but then i realized this would be sick christmas present for next year so thats okay
About a year for the production process is normal. Pretty sure it's been stated by Hasbro reps at previous Botcons that it takes anywhere from 12-18 months to go from prototype to finished products in hand on average
interesting process, compared to haslab unicron i wonder how long this would take if not december of next year
As of 9:31pm Oct. 9 PST only 830 more backers are needed to get the shield and Micromasters included.
REACH TIER 3!
And Unicron was abnormal at 1.5 years development time. 1 year is standard. All the Generations product on the shelves at the moment took about the same amount of time to manufacture. It's not an instantaneous process. It's an iterative one, with lots of back-and-forth correspondence between international entities.
I know this pertains to gaming but I think it applies here in this context.
Unicron funded in October of 2019 and shipped March of 2021, 17 months. If Star Saber ships in December of 2022 then it'll be about 13ish months so it still falls within that window
