If it is proven that Transformers toys produced in the last several years are consistently yellowing in widespread numbers (at least 10% of production batches) I'll add my voice to criticizing Hasbro over the matter but until then, it's pure anecdote.

I have the vast majority of Transformers toys produced in the last 15 years. Literally hundreds of toys. None that I have on display, roughly 150, are showing yellowing. I just checked my Siege Jetfire. No yellowing. Red Alert, Prowl, etc., none have yellowed in the slightest. Maybe I'm lucky.

 

The only figure of mine to yellow, ever, was MP Star Saber.

 

I'll be astonished if any of those MP's ever happen.

Not yet - Hasbro has yet to reveal two of the three stretch goals though.

 

I had my MP Star Saber out today after the HasLab reveal. No yellowing but I'm sure it'll yellow someday. It's an inevitability of commercial plastics.

 

I have never had a figure yellow on me and I have original beast wars figures that I played with as a kid.

 

Well, it\'s not nearly as offensive to me, price-wise, as Unicron was. I suppose I\'ll keep an eye on it.

2) I'm pretty confident Star Saber would have won out of this list. Y'all want to replace a character for supposedly being obscure with even MORE obscure characters, LOL.

I mean let's be real here. Star Saber was the "leader good guy" of an entire TV show... not an OVA, not a miniseries, a full-on show with like 100 episodes. Victory Leo is the rebuilt form of Ginrai, who was the "leader good guy" of the previous series, again, a full-on show, not a miniseries.

Nobody else on your list has even close to that level of exposure. There's characters who showed up in a couple of episodes, comics-only characters, toy-only characters (European exclusives that hardly any of us ever saw, at that!), spaceships that appeared at most a few times (the Revenge disappeared after the movie, the Nemesis was in the original pilot episode and a couple of episodes of Beast Wars -- the 'con undersea base was built from the remains of their SECOND ship, the one they built on Earth that Mirage destroyed, not the Nemesis), and toys that have already been made (I already HAVE a perfectly good MP Victory Saber, plus there's a second, arguably superior, 3P Star Saber already out with Victory Leo supposedly on the way, and MMC just released an MP Star Convoy)

 

Well, yeah. Makes him perfect so he'll fit right in with the rest of the overpriced Generations figures we buy at Walmart.

Did Unicron come with a fancy looking box like Jabba’s Sail Barge? It’d be cool &to get a full colored G1 inspired boxart as packaging.

 

They care about the money   fans want a Star Saber and based on how fast he's been bringing in backers, we're willing to pay, so why wouldn't they?

let me see, unicron had missing paint from the final release, the micro figures had barely any detail compared to the prototypes (and of course the renders)
and yes, and those rings that broke at the connection point, this figure will probably be barely old leader class, and already costs more than a commander class, and i though kingdom rodimus was pushing it too far

 

Those are horrible molds though.

 

Hm. Now this is dangerously close to being affordable, for what it is. Compared to say, the Seacons, or even Super Megatron? Hm. Not sure. I wonder what this means for a future Deathsaurus?

Next time, at least try to made a HasLab project without gaps and prevent to be blocky

 

Honestly, I had hoped they would make him a leader or commander class, then I'd actually consider him. A $180 haslab? Easy pass. Oh well.
