I'm backing it. I have my issues with it though. Having the cannon be a stretch goal is obnoxious of them but whatever. I don't like how the sword blade connects, it sits too far back and too low. Aside from that this looks super up my alley, even if I'll probably end up displaying them separately because I'm not much a fan of shoes and backpack style combinations.

 

I honestly can't see this getting funded completely to be honest. I might get proven wrong, but this isn't some big pop culture character like Unicron.

Yeah, there are people that will back it as already shown, but this is a character from a G1 Transformers show that not many people are familiar with or grew up with. You have to basically be a diehard Transformers fan to know who Star Saber even is.

True that there were characters from the later Japanese only G1 Transformers cartoons that appeared in U.S. lines over the years like Overlord in Titans Return, but there they were released as part of the regular toyline, not having to be backed by people through a crowdfunding so I'd guess some people were all "sweet, new character". Or they helped people to discover the later G1 Transformers cartoons we didn't get in the 80's.

I mean, I didn't know who Star Saber was until I saw him in the Masterpiece line and looked him up. Also, I know he also appeared in the IDW comics, but radically changed from the cartoon version in terms of character.

 

The people crying are doing so because they can’t afford him ‍♂️

Not sure if I am buying one, but if it were MP scale at a higher price point $300, I would be interested, also there are no specs on how large/tall this piece is.

This was...rather lackluster for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm still backing him just to support the JG1 crew, but it feels off.... like something is missing? I was honestly hoping they'd go the extra miles and have a setup similar to Flametoy's design for Victory Saber, or maybe alternate armor pieces to rep the IDW version.... I kinda wish his sword was longer and his (VS) legs were more.... proportionate...

also, the final tier is at 20,000.

 

Well shit, I called it.  And I kinda want it.  Should be getting a check in within the next few weeks.

 

I really hope the second and third tiers get unlocked. More bang for the buck. I would want at least a large shield.

 

Because it worse than MP, lol. Proportions are off, hollow forearms on Saber looks stupid, BUT Hasbro made a balljoint in the wrist instead of a hinge. Sword looks awful, hollow bits in SS forearms look awful, articulations is what? Awful.

MP is bad too, although he looks decent in SS form. And 3P ones are bad.

 

Face dude is the Brain of Courage, jet dude is Saber, the extra unit is the V-Star, Saber + V-Star makes Star Saber, lion is Victory Leo, Victory Leo + Star Saber makes Victory Saber
