every haslab has had large chunks of orders come in on the last week to 10 days... every one. outside of poor cookie monster that is. and its the transformers fans that push a conspiracy theory about it.

Yep. Case in point: LG-EX Grand Maximus now that Black Zarak has been announced is 2 to 3 times the value he was released as. LG-EX Greatshot is also going for X2. In fact, I'd recommend at least going ahead with LG-EX Grand Max before everyone gets their Black Zaraks and the price starts pushing north $800. We know for a fact less than 3000 LG-EX Grand Max's were made...so, yeah.

Not sure why you're quoting my part, since my own assumption is that, while we may well have several thousand Japanese orders already, Takara is unlikely to have reported those numbers to Hasbro already. I concede it's possible, but I don't think it's the most likely explanation at all.

 

I already expected this, but now that he’s funded and with eleven days left to go, I’m even more sure that all three stretch goals will be reached. Right about now would be the perfect time to formally reveal that last one.

 

I need to preface this by saying that this is strictly my own theory. NOT based especially on reality nor evidence. Just something I think is possible.

As has been stated elsewhere, the idea that the shield is the third Tier has not actually been confirmed. All we really know is that the shield has not been officially mentioned in any of the previous ad copy, but it has shown up atop the Victory Saber vehicle mode. While this has led to the reasonable assumption that the shield is being held for the third Tier, it's possible that it's actually included with the base figure, or either Tier 1 or Tier 2, but simply hasn't been mentioned yet.

I'm not saying that this explanation is likely. It's just a theory. One that fits the few facts we have. I concede that it's far more likely that the shield will, in fact, be the third Tier.
