With 18 days left to reach 11,000 (just under 2,000 needed), you think getting to 14,000 is a fantasy? I can't say that I agree. I'm not sure how attainable the 17,000 and 20,000 stretch goals are, but 14,000 is doable with international orders for sure. I mean, I'd be willing to bet with international orders that we have already hit 11,000.

 

Apparently no one was listening to his podcast - Sabat said he was a fan of anime - that Transformers & specifically Victory is an anime & he was a child with Transformers. He is a fan of the franchise from his childhood, centered in a different segment of a field that is of Japanese culture. He was a perfect choice to reach out into a different segment of the marketplace & churn up interest from people who would not normally have ever paid attention to Transformers - to be suddenly inspired with a new purchase, this being a Japanese product, that influences other potential buyers.

Basically - you wanna sell toys - you reach out into the toy market, not just into your own market, to maximize your potential dollars. Marketing 102 - not something Hasbro is known for but, maybe they are slowly learning.

 

expected it and is still happy about it . somehow very underwhelming, somehow that shield looks more underwhelming than the stand. Wonder if there is a tier 4 reward. This is probably going to hit all tiers anyway. Whether that be fake numbers pump by hasbro, international order flocked, third party buying up stock to resell later on, or the general public jumping in once its funded and tiers get unlocked.

 

Seeing the stand in colour, now I'm hyped for that too. I ended up getting a second one as a gift for a friend. Damn, he looks beautiful in colour.

I do wonder if the choice to have a well-known anime dubbing voice actor on means anything, but based on the stream I doubt it.

I'm still baffled that there's less than 20 days now before the funding closes, and yet still no word on Japan taking orders. You'd think the home country where Star Saber is most popular would've gotten on board by now

I agree. I think the grey torso should be black . Hopefully the hands, antennas, elbow, etc are black and not a very dark grey. More black details would help.
