The colors look cool! I expected the stand to be your basic translucent plastic but it looks really good in blue.

I'm still on the fence about keeping my backing spot, but I hope the color pics convince some more people to get him and his tiers funded.

definitely fall in the latter. You know, is 22 counts as 'adult men" to you. I have more toys on my desk than out of reach and I fiddle constantly with them

 

I think the term "re-imagining" is easily interpreted many ways. Some people use it to refer to new alt-modes like they did in the Universe 2.0 era. I tend to use the term less literally. Removing kibble is re-imagining. Making something look more like the cartoon and less like a blocky 80s kids toy is re-imagining. And saying block feet looked stupid in the late 80s so lets make them look cooler in 2021 is re-imagining. You get what I mean ? Re-imagining doesnt always have to be extreme. In many cases, its just the art of making something look better than it did before without taking away its original charm. Now how many people think blocky feet is charming is up for debate.

 

My favorite Sentai is the Shinesmen. That probably doesn't count though, so I'll just get in the glowing green square.

 

My desk is currently occupied by fanshobby's absolute behemoth of a god ginrai and Gundam sprues (I bought my first one!) But otherwise it would be filled with chug or MP carbots

I think for those who live in a low or no sales tax state in America it's not a bad deal the UK price is a straight swap to Pounds and they really COULD have got that down a bit lower even after tax I suspect. It's more or less the same price the Seacons cost - so one can compare it to them I guess. I'm happy paying it - and I'm broadly speaking happier with the toy than with Unicron - as it's reasonably accurate - looks decently fun and It's a character I like. If I was going to be SUPER picky then I would say that only the inclusion of some 5mm ports is really selling it compared to the masterpiece as this is kinda repeating what they did and adding a Victory Leo - but I don't mind - It is likely not the same size after all. Now if I am honest i'd have prefered they'd made it a hair more expensive and make Victory Leo the same size as Star Saber, but he's not exactly "titchy" and I can always pair him up against smaller Megatrons or some such being a bit smaller. But cannonically Victory Leo is more or less the same size usually - but I can deal with it as it still works in combined modes like that.. and if it really really bothers someone then there is nothing stopping someone in China Knocking it off at the same height as SS and Knocking SS off the same height as Victory Leo - then everyone is happy I guess. Though in practical sense I would guess what would really happen is someone would KO both larger and both smaller. If they are feeling brave enough to do it. Heck I would be at all surprised if a KO of the 3rd party Masterpiece Victory Leo shows up before this even gets released.

Random Thought : I wonder if they might make a bunch of Victory Apparel when this comes out ?
A T-Shirts based on this version might be kinda nice for those who want it. (not as part of the campaign mind) - just in general.
