Prototype Photos of HasLab Victory Saber from Dallas Fan Expo - Radio Free Cybertron
Must be a 7-up fan if he's turning away from it.
Its 100% what it is. I'm willing to bet on it, I'm that sure.
If this thing hits 20k they will incorporate most of the Victory cast in the retail line.
He only had the shield for one episode for a few seconds.
But so what? I want that shield.
Axe and Mace for the G1 leaders follow the same logic
After all of these new pics I really do hope the stand gets unlocked.
Also it’s getting more and more amazing by the day. Love all of the detail and just the overall aesthetic. Star Saber is slowly becoming one of my favourite transformers despite not having a huge knowledge of any of the media he’s in. Just such a beautiful character design.
Don't forget possible base mode for the V-star and saber
Feel like if there was a base mode for Star Saber then it would’ve been shown. Maybe fan modes but I doubt an official base mode.
I mean it's just the limbs bent ginrai style and with a platform for saber so it's not too out of the question
Fortunately it should be in the realms of possiblity to yoga the SS body into a decent enough approximation for Saber, which is good enough for me, especially if it ends up stable enough to not immediately fall over
Well you could use a base mode V-Star alongside the robot mode Saber
Lmao I didn’t realize there was already a Star Saber base mode and that is what it looked like lol…
Yeah that should be possible I’d imagine. No way it isn’t. Can’t imagine wanting to display it like that though, but to each their own I suppose : ) : )
I'm not really familiar with Star Saber, but why is the sword blade orientation different than the MP version? The orientation of this version isn't visually appealing to me at all.
Just found out that Star Saber was the only transformer in Victory and the rest of the Japanese only shows by the creator of the original Gundam series designs Kunio Okawara himself.
Probably why he's always compared to and looks like a Gundam.
He also designed Hardhead, Crosshairs, and Scorponok as well.
One is orientated like the original toy, the other the cartoon. The good thing is, this Star Saber will have both orientations available in the final product. So if you don't like how it's attached in these prototype images, you'll be able to attach it your preferred way when you actually get it.
For Victory Saber
This is true, but we had to wait until Centurion to get them in the extras that it came with.
I can't tell from the photos, but if you can rotate the blade, wouldn't it still be attached behind the hilt portion? I'm not seeing a place where the blade could be attached to the top of the hilt. The MP version looks like it lets you attach the blade to the top of the hilt.
They were also mainline releases that had to fit into specific price points, while this is a HasLab, and unlikely to get any extra accessories afterwards. Officially that is
