Just a month left to go and with 7,500 backers, the question that remains now is not whether or not Victory Saber will be funded, but whether or not the stretch goals will be funded

1 figure out of all of wfc shares engineering (that isn't a remold or rerelease of a Prime Wars mold), that doesn't really contradict what I said and is more an exception to the rule, especially considering it's borrowing from a design that was actually released. That doesn't lend any credence to the idea that Ultra Magnus, Shockwave, Hound and Arcee that were released in WFC are reworked versions of their POTP concepts and people need to stop pushing that theory like it's fact.

I remember being annoyed when SS didn’t win the POTP poll, I was like the evolution gimmick is literally him as a character. In hindsight it seems it was a good thing he didn’t win or maybe we would get this version now which is probably way better than what would’ve been back then

Absolutely this is the better than what we would have gotten with potp. Just look at the monkey that won. What a mess! im glad the beastwars fans came together and won that fan vote. Now we get a haslab victory saber.

Some times a mold is reused just to reuse it. By your logic everything in the Thrilling 30 line was a continuation of Transformers Prime because Chromia shared the mold of Arcee.

    I can tinfoil too!!

Yeah, though Siege Chromia isn't even a mold reuse in the same way that T30 Chromia was a mold reuse of Prime Arcee. Siege Chromia is more of a shared engineering deal. Similar to how G2 Smokescreen and Energon Starscream share similar designs and transformations but they didn't retool Energon Starscream from G2 Smokescreen nearly ten years later.

Also, the whole thing that started this, about Hound, Arcee, Magnus, and Shockwave reusing parts of the engineering for their potential POTP figures... considering the only leaker I actually saw that come from I'd take it with a gigantic grain of salt.

I never said "everything". Just a mould that has a lot of aspects that simply don't do anything and is even out of place in the same line she is in.

I wouldn't be upset even then, as long as it wasn't a LOT lower (say, $160). To me, this isn't like Unicron where the exclusivity was a (small) part of the appeal. I don't care how many other people have Victory Saber and I'm not fussed about putting down a couple of extra dollars early on if it helps make other JG1 Transformers get made. They can do a second Haslab run, or release it as a Pulse-exclusive, or even at retail.

I think after Victory Saber succeeds we could possibly see a Dinoking that has both individual inner robots and pretender shells as a Haslab and this would also be a great way for later use as a Monstructor.

We are currently sitting at 7,519 backers. After that big jump from the other day I do hope we get another big jump soon to keep this sucker chugging along.

There probably will be. I'd be shocked if Takara/Japan's preorders didn't open within the next week or so

2/3 in two weeks is already pretty quick. Not sure how much faster it can go.

Was their a reason behind the sudden boost? like an online store over seas adding it's pre-orders? Just seems a bit random that it was about 5700 on thrusday-ish and then a sudden spike.

One guess was that it came from a PO TF source had up that quickly sold out.

so this is my first haslab backing and it's well on it's way. with 29 days to go still would you guys say this is a good sign it's being funded? hopefully the tiers too but any extras 3p would no doubt handle.

it's gonna be a long 29 days to see where it all ends up.
