Maybe Hasbro could make a Starsaber shield that transforms into Victory Leo's nosecone as tier add on.

Not the best view or quality, but it does give the basic idea.
It wouldn't be complicated to make a little thing that'd clip onto the front. There seems to be a bit of a nub there on the toy anyway (hard to tell in all grey). They might end up painting up that area to look like the cockpit anyway.

Ultimately, I wouldn't mind getting it as one of the stretch goals, but there's a lot of things I want to get first instead.

Simba comes with a wrap around part that sort of looks like a nose cone.

This is what I could find for the G1 fig. Honestly, I'm okay as what we are getting is better than what came before.

Oh yeah, something like that would be an easy solution, not much different from the shield that comes with Kingdom Warpath! Thanks!

Yeah, but one is updated articulation. The other is a one or two scene wonder that I believe had less screen time than Star Saber's shield iirc (been some time since I watched Victory). One is definitely way more important to the overall product when doing an update. If this were straight to retail I could see it having been included, but given that even the V-Lock canon had to be a tier I can understand why the animation nosecone isn't included off the bat (assuming it will even be included at a higher tier).

I mean... this still doesn't look much like a jet or space craft.

I guess? Still doesn't change the fact that it was an after thought given to the design by the animators. Thus making sense that they wouldn't feel it a necessity to have from go. I hope everyone who wants it as a tier reward gets what they want though. Hopefully paired with some other stuff as that would be kind of lackluster on it's own.

TBF a lot of characters would go on to be defined by the animation over the original toys. I feel like that doesn't make it any less necessary. Afterthought or not it's still an aspect of the character and design.

I'm not going to lose any sleep over Victory Leo not having it, though.

Like I said, if people want it that badly I hope they get it. I can just completely understand why it isn't part of the current package. Hell, if Hasbro doesn't do it as tier reward I'm sure one of the 3D printer 3rd party accesory guys will make it for those that want to shell out $20 for it.

My only real fear now is what if they never open JP POs. It's unlikely but still there...

3rd parties will make a shield for saber that folds into a nosecone for leo no doubt if they don't get each from a tier, same with the small sword and robot masters weapons.
Dna will probably make a transforming suit for jan kinda like they did for wheelie

That's fine, I never said you did, I just said it's a valid aspect of the character's design and shouldn't be dismissed is all.

    I highly doubt it.

I wonder if there's going to be a set of screw covers like unicron got? at least some ones to cover up the back of star saber's helmet would be nice

    It's going to go live.

That's fine, but every day it feels like people are introducing things to try and come up with why X is a deal breaker and this just feels like the latest.

It's possible, but weren't Unicron's only because some of his parts were doubled up so screw holes in the back on one side were on the front for the other?

Unicron's screw covers were for the sake of disguising the doubled-up left/right parts. Otherwise, exposed screws is not a typical Generations concern.
