Combined my TFC Road Caesar for the first time in years and took a shot with all my other Victory CHUG-sterpiece boys.


Just in case anyone was curious of how they scale together:

 

Opened mine just to see if there are any issues and before even taking them out I see numerous paint issues. Most disappointing was the gold on the chest not being applied well. There is red paint on white areas, missing paint on some parts and numerous other little things. Weird.


Does this warrant getting a replacement? I would likely keep it in combined mode but shit like this still bugs me.

 

I can’t even see 99% of what you’re talking about, so I’d say no.

 

Unless you feel confident in your customizing skills and/or don't care about the obvious visual blemish on that chrome I would send it back in.

 

You absolutely won't get better back. Don't bother. Clean up any overages of paint with qtip and 98% alcohol.

No. Every copy out there has some sort of chrome blemish. If the toy itself is clear of assembly issues, keep it. There are people much worse off than that and you could join them if you send it in for replacement.

 

Shhhhhh. I'm trying to dissuade someone from sending back a 99% perfect toy in hopes of getting a 100% perfect toy when there are still someones out there with copies that can't even transform correctly.

Combine it 1 time, and show us your 100% perfect copy.  

 

What if it's just the police car micromaster that's mis-assembled and cannot transform because the piece connecting the hood to the body is backwards?

Coooould just be my tired eyes... but the pic with 2 bots looks to have -100% chrome, while the combined looks to be a different chrome on starsabers chest itself compared to the first pic?  

Edit: first glance, paint bleed? Either way, proof it's 2 different figures from the chest fins?

 

It's chrome. By it's nature it reflects differently at different angles.

The chest fins look identical. Even the little yellow paint app on the head you circled has the same barely-noticeable tiny dot in both pics.
