Not a good look— who thought plastic ties over it was a good idea? The antenna is also absurdly loose

Victory Saber is coming and so am I!

Not unless you get really lucky and can find a reseller who bought multiples and only cares about recouping the original cost rather than making a profit.

True story: the store I ordered mine from updated their twitter saying they got it and they'd start shipping tomorrow... so I immediatedly asked if I could just go and pick it up in person. And well... :p

Sorry if this ends up as a double post. After leaving it to soak into some fresh air while I took a shower, I looked for any QC issues. Luckily nothing major (I'll detail later). And before I jump into the figure itself: I think this set is worth the price. For those saying it could easily be released into the main line, we get a fair share of accessories, plus, while I know most of us pay for the figure itself and not the packaging, there's no denying the box is stunning. That aside:
The brain of courage is ridiculously tiny. It gets a fair share of painted details despite the size, although I think that the MP one is more detailed. The legs are a single piece so not much poseability here (which is to be expected, really).
Standing next to the jet. The haslab one has a rounder jetcone which is more similar to the g1 toy. Personally, I prefer the pointier tip of the MP.
Of course, the brain of courage can pilot the jet. Unfortunately, the underside of the jet has no ports for a flying stand (this photo was just me carefully balancing it on the included stand).
The jet (Saber) can combine with the V-Star to form Star Saber. This mode can be mounted on the stand (an adaptor piece connects to the V-Star's "crotch").
Victory Leo. Honestly, I prefer the lion face on the g1 toy, the haslab looks kinda goofy. Front paws have decent articulation but not much on the hind paws. Also, I applied the stickers and the are quite bad. Not only are they pretty thin (almost tore mine trying to peel it off the sheet), but their cut is a bit off. Plus, they need to be bent to cover not only the front but also the top of the wing. Oh yeah, and it doesn't have a tail either. I think KFC's Simba is the only Victory Leo to include a tail.
Jet mode. It's dumb as ever, specially with that sorry excuse of a jet nose.
Victory Saber in jet...spaceship mode? It connects to the flying stand the same way Star Saber does. Because Victory Leo blocks Star Saber's thrusters you can't use the blast effects as propulsion flames anymore.
Saber in robot mode. The gaps on the arms are a bit of an eyesore but I understand why they are like this. The brainmaster gimmick this time is pretty lame, rather than the elevator system used in the g1 and masterpiece toys, the haslab one kinda reminds me of a headmaster. Minor QC issue 1: the arm wasn't properly connected to the shoulder. It's just a balljoint so an easy fix.
Star Saber robot mode. The shoulders can't really move in and out, so just like the MP we get articulation at the arms intead. However, the haslab one has much better lower body articulation due to the moving skirt pieces. Minor QC issue 2: faceplates continue to be the bane of my existence. It's not really noticeable on camera but there's a scratch on his faceplate. It's really distracting in person and I await for the eventual toyhax set.
Victory Leo robot mode looks pretty darn good actually. I hate to be "that guy" but here we can see how distracting the hollow cannons are. It's a problem on Victory Saber too (and yes, I know there are filler kits already). QC issue 3: the knees on my copy are pretty loose. And they are held in place by pins, not screws.
And Victory Saber robot mode. The feet are a bit angled, kinda like WFC Siege/Kingdom Ultra Magnus, so it looks a bit weird in some poses and angles. As you can see, Victory Saber can wield the V-Lock Cannon, but due to how the arms work he can only hold it with his arm completely straight. QC issue4: the paint is a bit sloppy in places. Some blue and red on the white pieces, a scratch on painted areas. However they are all small and don't really bother me. All in all this is a great set and I'm sure having a lot of fun with it! Fire and Holi? Who are those? (Joking, I know they have their fans but I don't really care much about them lol)

After being a little bit sad because mine never changed to processing, I’ve woken up to that beautiful ‘your order has left the building’ email. LETS SAY GO
