You can remove the end parts of the wings without having to mess with screws & pins as it slides out. As to how it connects to ER Optimus is beyond me though.

 

What you saw was this from Hasbros video about half a year ago. It's the exact same as what PvP did cause that's where he got it from

 

He was never meant to be Convoy. But he does evoke a lot of Convoy in design, which is intentional. Kids love Convoy, so go buy Star Saber.

Takara finally bit the bullet and brought back Convoy anyway via Star Convoy. THAT was supposed to be Convoy's final form.

 

When you take Victory Leo apart for VS mode, the backpack has a peg that's able to peg into any figure with a port on their back such as ER Optimus. It won't look perfect on other figures since it was made for Star Saber at the end of the day, but it's a thing you can do.

 

I know, I assumed he was talking about the wings without half of VL. And for anyone wondering that peg is quite short & is loose in the likes of ER Prime.

 

Must've misread your comment, my bad. But yeah it looks like you can't give other figures the jetpack & keep Victory Leo in one piece at the same time unless you got multiple copies.

 

Is there ANY possible way to attach the VL legs to Optimus?

At some point, I need to dig out my Robotmasters Star Sabers and Victory Leos and try attaching stuff to modern Transformers. Should be a hoot, since I think they used 5mm pegs, IIRC.

You can make it appear that way by moving the front foot cover up & folding the toes in which you can actually pose on the ground as its flat enough for him to balance (the feet aren't coming with him if you lift him). He looks like something Katoki designed though with that much leg.

 

Yeah, guess I was just remembering wrong. Too bad, I was kinda hoping to display Optimus with the wings like that, but then I'd be stuck with a very incomplete Victory Leo lying around that I wouldn't be able to display or sell...
