He does not "partsform", the arm pieces can stay put in beast mode (And Beast Wars partsforming?! When have that ever happened?! Figure ruined!).

It looks good, beast mode is probably the worst of the bunch but is acceptable (and not anything worse than what we have seen from the Universe beast updates or, let's be honest, T30 Waspinator wasp mode). Robot mode definitely kicks ass, I just hope someone eventually makes his shoulder cannons and maybe even a sword which should be fitting for him.

Yeah this is definitely a decent placeholder for now but a more accurate voyager needs to come out in the next few years. Hopefully they can figure out how to give him semi accurate bot and beast modes as I know that complete show accuracy is a pipe dream.

Fans didn't pressure Hasbro into making this figure, this figure would have been planned from the outset of the line. It takes 12-18 months for a figure to get produced, there wouldn't have been enough time for fans to pressure Hasbro and get this figure made all within 2021.

That's right, so now fans need to pressure them to make a new mold Voyager in the next couple of years. ;)  :lol

People claiming a BW figure is "parts forming" because he has weapons that can detach from his beast mode must have never actually seen a 90s BW toy.

How to say you don't have any idea how long it takes to plan, design, manufacture, and release a toy without saying it right here.

I'm still not sure why some people hate this guy so much. Yes, it's a retool, but it's a nice figure and a pretty good update. Not perfect, but good. There was a time when he wouldn't have existed at all past the original line in the 90s, so it's a miracle that he's even here. We shouldn't kiss Hasbro's @$$, but we should be a bit more appreciative than we are.

Exactly. Hasbro still cuts corners BUT the amount of pretty good fan service in the last several years is awesome. Some folks were not around (or simply forget) the days when everything was a cheap repaint and there was no plan on how things were released.

In the span of two years we will have gotten complete updates to the core casts of Beast Wars (both factions) and the 86 movie (both factions). This is unheard of.

Hell, there was a time when I was begging Takara to make a retool from Animated Swoop into Terrorsaur for the Legends line.

    This is way better.

Calling those two tiny fins "partsforming" has to be the most pedantic complaint about partsforming I've ever seen when, y'know, they don't have to be removed for transformation.

I can agree if they made a figure from scratch, but in the case of a remold and/or repainting, I think the time would be less, calculating since february of this year where they claimed Terrorsaur and Inferno.

I just hope they don't remould Waspinator Kingdom by removing its wings to make it Inferno in Legacy. :D

Have fun with your Starscream G1. :thumb

I think it was already leaked that Inferno is a Voyager.

Disagree if you want, but your position is still incorrect. Terrorsaur was almost guaranteed to be in the works from the start of the line. Hasbro doesn't have the ability to pivot that quickly due to fan response. Product manufacturing takes time.

You do know the random Hasbro Pulse social media person would not be privy to actual figures that early in development and almost 100% had absolutely no idea of Terrorsaur?

You are really just showing you have no idea what you're talking about. There is honestly a really good chance that Social Media person isn't even a Hasbro employee. Big companies pay social media companies to handle that stuff for them. People make those vague replies all the time to try to get you/keep you hyped and interested in figures. And yes, remolds take likely less time, it absolutely wouldn't be a same year entire design to release process. Absolutely not. These things are decided on at least 1-3 years ahead of time, depending on how far ahead they want to plan.

Want a good example? Hasbro's own design team didn't even have a final or even colored Perceptor when they announced him a few months ago. Its just now getting into the hands of people like PvP. But even TFW has known Perceptor has been in the cards for about a year. It would be MUCH longer to Hasbro internal design teams. It even took a year for them to uncancel earth mode Sideswipe from a mainline ER release to the exclusive Kingdom pack release, which is just a remold of Siege Sideswipe.
