No visible clips on the wheels for Sunstreaker and Runamuck is good, but it makes the datsun bros look even worse. :/

 

Is it weird I think that, with a new head, Fasttrack would make a great Cybertronian Prime? Not sure which one, Optimus or Sentinel? Either way he has the chest/boob windows.

 

Damn....I was really hoping that Sunstreaker's yellow would be fixed by the time he was going to be released.

 

Well, even if he was a Red Card exclusive it's easy enough to get the Debit Card version that people on this board always seem to be surprised exists after I mention it. I've had one for years.

 

I doubt it, that mold is a hot mess with major proportion issues (the nearly perfect square chest and arms-with-no-biceps are just terrible) and then theirs the messed up back end of the car mode...

 

I'm definitely all for giving folks options. Some folks may not want to give away their personal information (necessary to get a Debit Card).

I know I'm defending people who hate exclusives, which really isn't my own position. I see exclusives as a way that some toys come to exist that wouldn't have existed otherwise. Thus, I'm happy to jump through some extra hoops to get them (assuming I was interested in the figure in the first place).

But I also don't pretend those hoops don't exist. Nor that all possible alternatives mean that there must exist one that's going to be acceptable.

 

We need him with black wheels and accents as Roller STAT.

 

That yellow plastic just looks washed out and sad.

 

I\'m reserving my judgment on Sunstreaker until I see him in a store. Yellow plastic figures historically look mismatched on camera compared to in-hand where the difference is a lot less noticeable.

 

Well, I get you're playing Devil's Advocate basically, but at the end of the day you can't please everyone all the time. I mean, it'd be great if all of these were available at retail and easily attainable but that simply isn't the reality of our situation as collectors. The answer from those who hate exclusives is always "no more exclusives" but that wouldn't mean these would be moved to the mainline as more than likely we simply wouldn't get them. Like you said; a lot of these wouldn't exist without them being exvlusives... or we'd have another Classics Seeker situation where we had to wait 5 to 6 years for them to be completed at retail.

 

I came to see the Sunstreaker complaints and I was not disappointed

 

This guy looks great, he'll be a Mercenary in my headspace.

 

I'm sure it'll still be slightly off in hand, but photos always make it look far worse than it really is.

I think it'll be acceptable once you see it in person.
