Maybe they thought the line was overstuffed? I agree that it's odd that two major characters got relegated to exclusives (not counting Soundwave cause he had a mainline release already) and on top of that Bee and Soundwave are fairly major retools (yeah Elita 1 is one too but less so than the former two) while the Siege WFC Exclusives were all characters already released in the mainline aside from Scrapface.

Personally Ratchet is gonna benefit more with that shield. You can do the mobile med bay for Deluxe figures plus put the tools from Siege.

Hasbro probably just barely gave approval on the accessory set and even then gave it very few resources to work with. I'd have to guess the only reason it was okayed was someone pointing out how cheap and easy it is for 3rd Party sellers to produce them and they sell like hotcakes.

I'd guess the next accessory set they do will have a bit more polish.

I’m definitely looking forward to getting earthrise prowl and hopefully toyhax mixes up a nice set of decals for him.

Prowl’s clear plastic knees have me a bit worried. Never been a fan of clear plastic for joints.

Netflix Bumblebee is so close to being perfect. And then the fugly headsculpt. Wow it's bad.

I may just get this one because I'm a VW fan.

As a sidenote, I absolutely love how in his review of Netflix Bumblebee, TonTon described MP Bumblebee 2.0 as a "shit show" lol :D :D :D

Same. I'm too scared to transform SS Lockdown and PotP Jazz because of their clear plastic.

Lockdown has clear plastic joints? Haven’t messed with him in a while so I don’t remember.

I have to say, so far, none of the Earth mode figures we've gotten have made me regret buying their Siege counterparts so far.

Prowl is very close, but Ironhide, the Seekers, and even Optimus just don't seem look superior to me (there's something about Ironhide I really just don't like), but I'm glad that a) they're exclusives so I don't have to worry about them just taking up the main waves and b) people get the Earth mode figures they've been wanting.

The only real decision is whether I get Earthrise Smokescreen or the Selects one. I have Siege Prowl and Bluestreak.

His bicep swivel is clear plastic.
I've seen more than a few posts on Lockdown's broken arms.

Every time I see in hand photos I am excited and then immediately disapointed to see that no one wants to try and get ER Ironhide to look like his original G1 form, sled and all.

Unless someone has done it and I missed it, in which case I need to see those pictures.

Well that’s good to know lol. I keep him stored though so I’m not too worried. But the clear plastic is what kept Siege Prowl off my shelf. Lockdown just never fit with my movie stuff,

Prowl looks great. I'll say it, for me Ironhide still looks like a turd unless viewed from the front in van mode (which is still a step above his cybertron incarnation of the mold).

Prowl looks so much better than I initially expected. I kind of regret purchasing his Siege figure. Of course, I didn’t know they were going to do the same characters over again just a year later.

Ironhide is...okay. I really think it would’ve been better if they had used a new mold. As I said before, that van mode would’ve been saved if they had simply put a hinge in the ankles to allow us to fold the feet inside the vehicle mode. If I was great at customizing, that’d be the first thing I’d do once I get these figures.

I think the correct retort is “Lighten up Francis”

Anyway, I thought people were saying the Prowl head sculpt was all wrong. Not as good as Siege but not terrible IMHO.

Prowl is one of the few Earthrise redos I think is an improvement over Siege.
