These things aren't retools anymore. They're planned at inception to be multiple characters..
ER Thrust is a Target exclusive?!
You gotta be sh*tting me! Thundercracker & Skywarp were hard enough to find.
I believe the only listing is/was in the Target system, I am not aware that there has been any confirmation officially of his exclusivity. I was under the impression he was to be general retail.
I saw it mentioned on a post a few pages back but I didn't see any confirmation for it...
I don't even have a Target near me. Target exclusives gives me the most anxiety.
Same, but there's always scalpers on flea-bay. Thats how I gots mine, cost of gas to the nearest Target plus $60 for the two pack, gas return. wash for the scalpers, sadly...
It amuses me that he and his rival Fort Max have both ended up the most humanoid-accurate scale (we are big headed beings) at roughly 6 1/2 to 7 heads tall, and it sticks out because almost every other contemporary modern TF figure sticks to the 8 and a half heads tall Heroic scale of ancient Greek & Roman sculpture most likely by way of comic books influencing animation. They look odd but that's because they are the most "human"!
When I was a kid, Optimus Minor was Primal's son. I have no idea if the bio explained why he was "Optimus" but that's how I ran with it.
I don't believe a venue has been revealed, but Thrust's ER product # puts him in the run of all the exclusives.
but if anything, they should have smaller heads because beyond the "heroic" proportions (which I totally approve of), it also makes them look "bigger" in scale. Scorponok's large head and forearms really given me a weird "he's smaller then he should be" vibe.
clone experiment like dinobot 2 I believe the bio said. I had to use my imagination for most stuff. I created characters for all my micromasters. You had to especially with micromasters. I created entire backstories for punch and nightbeat. I was 3 when I got them. I didn’t know how to read and my parents weren’t going to read the back of the boxes. Lucky I knew their names.
fans today demand way too much. Need hasbro to tell them everything instead of just playing with their toys. Kids and adults.
I like the colors, wish we had a matching sword.
When I was a kid, I loved Joes and TFs so much precisely because of the bios: not because I didn't have an imagination, but because those bios gave my imagination a jumping off point for 100 stories. All the fun details, the super powers and neurosis's the various Transformers had, the relationships, the functions and primary military specialties. To me, it's that character that they were infused with that's largely why we're here on a TF board 35 years later instead of a Gobots board.
I don't think it needs to necessarily be on the package in this day and age, but available somehow (like an app that gives you bios and tech specs in your native language when you scan a package???)
I am down with this. Two blast effects is cool too
Yes, the poster confirmed Thrust and Runabout had unique DPCI's. Happy Hunting
Along with the TV show, the bios helped identify and distinguish the characters, making them personal and relatable - beyond being merely "random bot who turns into X, whose faction (let alone name) I barely remember".
No wonder the Transformers left a more lasting impression and legacy, while the Gobots have been mostly forgotten by comparison.
Hasbro Exec: \"So we\'re about to make that one twin dragon Autobot named Doublecross.\"
\"Ah but uhm...he sounds too Decepticonney\"
Hasbro Exec: \"that so? Then rename him...I don\'t know Twinferno\"
Seriously Doublecrosser look so fun. He\'s a two-headed meat shield
A bit of a rant herr Mods.
I effin hate this beerbug gumming up all the distribution lines! Eartrise is like the 3rd Golden age of collecting G1 and either everything is so hard to procure or the shipping is so delayed!
Sltherfang, the Powermaster cassettes, Exhaust, Snapdragon. No movements in my postal tracking from RK. Not to mention Amazon region locked me for the Coneheads and IH/Prowl. I hope that like Scourge (it was a mass release in Japan), I can purchase them as mass release.
Now back to the main, I posted in the other thread how much I "worship his Magnifence", pun intended. Skylynx is a fine example of modernizing a previous G1 release. He has less hollow parts and is quite heavy and fun to play with. And no Electronics! Amazing release!
Kids are fine. Hand them a toy and they'll run off on their own.
I know. I just didn’t wanna narrow the issue down too much lol
Turns into a bridge or ramp. Double crosser. I see what you did there, Hasbro.
Separate names with a comma.
