I'll wager the Ghostbusters license wasn't cheap either, even after GB (2016), from me looking in from outside looks like a pretty prestigious dual role to nab.
Pure armchair speculation for sure but the move being elevatory in some form, whether an actual promotion, or as you say simply a good rung to put one's foot upon should there be a space become available further up the ladder personal career positioning.

More responsibility, but he also oversaw TF during the Bay years, which were billion dollar movies.

    That's not nothing

Not for the entirety of it. Age of Extinction came out in 2014 and Warden didn't become design lead till Combiner Wars, which debuted at the end of 2014. So he was only the Design lead during The Last Knight and Bumblebee, though he did work on some of the earlier Bay lines. And I'm not saying it's nothing, but running 2 brands is still more responsibility than running 1.

He only handled the One Step changers in and a selective few of Generations in AoE but most if not all were decos and repaints

Yeah thats true. But I think the way they are looking at it is the COMBAT system means you can just swap guns around, I know its a cop out but yeah

I also though it was notable because many ER figures have gotten 2 accessories

Eh, you can kinda fudge it and say that technically wheeljack has 3 since the 2 spoiler pieces aren't permanently attached to the figure.

Thats a good point mind you the other use of this mold only had 1 too which was Wheeljack who was grossly under accessorised.

Then I stand corrected. ER Wheeljack still says hi tho for a different reason. 3 or 1 accessories depending on how u look at it instead of the “usual 2”

They're not the same mold, and technically wheeljack has 3 accessories (if siege prowls light bar counts as an accessory then so do wheeljacks spoiler pieces)

Yea, it all depends on how you define accessory. Is it merely a weapon, or is it an addition piece of the toy that isn't permanently attached to the main toy? Personally I think that second definition is more accurate

I consider Wheeljack's spoiler to be like Datsun's shoulder guns - two parts but one accessory.

Nope, at most there is some basic engineering shared, but they're different molds entirely. Sunstreakers window bits don't fold into his legs, his hands fold into his fists for transformation while wheeljacks don't, the top of sunstreakers hood is the bottom of his feet while the top of wheeljacks hood is the top of his feet, sunstreakers doors are on his legs but on wheeljacks arms, sunstreakers shoulders look to make up the rear roof of his car but the back bumper of wheeljacks etc etc, they're much more different than similar

It's hard to spot the differences unless you really scrutinize it, so it's easy to see why one would assume it's a retool. It might share some internal parts (like the arm that connects the windshield to the body or something like that), but based on what we can see of it it looks like a unique mold so far.

Now you've changed the definition of what "partial" means. You guys are clamoring that using the term would bring more clarity and was somehow more useful than existing terms but in the span of a few hours have changed its definition. If changing definitions isn't an example of creating confusion, I don't know what is.
