Why does it have to be Starscream? Why not one of the coneheads first?

I was pretty disappointed when Siege was first revealed, yet I've ended up buying and enjoying more than half the line.

The grey parts on Optimus are a huge disappointment, however. No way I'm buying that figure unless they fix those issues. The renders look so good, what a shame...

Starscream is also pretty annoying. They just released, what, 8 seekers?! Maybe if they waited until Part 3 to milk these characters, I would be more forgiving. Also, c'mon really an upscaled version of a toy from 13 years ago? With no waist articulation?

The rest look pretty good, despite being Earth modes. I pre-ordered Cliffjumper and Grapple, and will wait for impressions on Wheeljack and Hoist.

Again, if the quality of these figures match the precedent set by Siege, many of these will be hard to resist.

Its clearly the Siege Tetra jet retool into his F15 fighter jet mode. Who got the idea that it was the 2008 upscaled deluxe?? Lmao.

Was this decision ever stated or confirmed officially by Hasbro?

Ah. Well it should have made more sense to retool the tetra jets into this new Earth mode Screamer.. .

I honestly can't see how they would've done that.

Too bad they didn’t repack Rung instead. He’s probably gonna be a pain to get being in the last wave of Siege.

Warden got the idea, the lead Transformers guy at Hasbro said it was based off of the old 2006 classic design and he thought the earthrise Starscream was better than the masterpiece design.

Someone...either from TFU or RFC said Starscream looks really good up close so I’m eager to get my final seeker mold next year. My bet is that it will be 9 when all is said and done. Cone heads, the main trio, and Welcoming committee. It’d be pretty ballsy if Hasbro did the rainmakers again...which they probably will. They have years to milk the new mold.

I would love the welcoming committee but as tetrajets. I know this line is called earthrise but im still hoping we get cybertronian alt-modes in this line along with others. What I'm thinking is since every figure comes with a piece if the universe map, earth transformers will have the earth part if the map; cybertronian alt-modes will have the cybertron part, and maybe some headmasters will have nebulos etc.

yeah I think this is a case of a misunderstanding of you and people saying it was an upscale 2006 mold. As far as I’ve seen people have been saying it’s basically a 2006 upscale, which is an accurate statement in regards to what this new mold does; you may be framing it a bit literally.

Looking at the new pics, Leader OP's hinged hand has a 5mm port on his hand, but located way back on the hand? So you can open the hand, and still hold the weapon.

    This pic (from Seibertron).

I wish we get the genius trick hand of Jetfire, but it's...good enough I guess?

I think the hands is a case of moving parts and plastic thickness. Jetfire is larger and thus allows for thicker plastic and stronger joints to deploy the 5mm ports in the hands. On the other hand Optimus is smaller and as a consequence does not have enough plastic thickness to support the engineering complexity of Jetfire’s hands.

I think Prime’s hands are perfect for his size. I mean I could use some blue, it’s nothing a sharpie/gundam marker can’t fix :) .

Yes, it's probably because of durability reason I get that.

Still, would love Jetfire's hand trick being used more, I love subtle things like that :p

And...to be honest, I have no problem with Prime having grey hand, because as I typed this, I'm looking at my Grey, big, healthy Power of the Prime's Prime.
